Another tough week. Insfo played us really tough. This is the first we we lost points (ouch). But, despite trailing going into Sunday's games, we were able to pull it out. With that in mind, this weeks Victory Cigar will be shared by Paul Pierce and Randy Foye, the two were a perfect 16 for 16 from the charity strip. They also combined for ten rebounds and 15 assists on Sunday. :clap:

Looks like YS is on the losing end of another trade. I know Calderon is ranked high and all the Raptors fans will disagree but he just doesn't impress me.

If only YS had unlocked me, I could have gotten rid of some of the dead weight and maybe made it tight(er) in the end

Next season I want to make a few changes to the rules. I wonder what you guys think of these:

1. No more IL
I don't want teams being disadvantaged because I sometimes forget to read the message board for IL drops.

2. Extra man on each roster
To compensate for there being no more IL, I intend to give each team an extra spot on their roster which can basically be used as the IL. You would have to carry your own IL players. This would also give teams an extra spot to accommodate a draft pick, or make trades that are unbalanced in number.

3. Mandatory year-end drop
As each team will be carrying 16 players during the season, at the end of each season, teams will have to drop a player, ensuring they start the succeeding season with 15. The cycle then starts anew.

Let me know what you guys think.

The problem with doing away with the IL is will allow teams to play 16 players during the week. It will actually be a greater disadvantage to teams with injured players. Also, the IL has become a unique (and damn good) feature of the league.

I think you just shouldn't be quite so quick to lock teams. People has been pretty good about only IL'ing players after 5 games I think they can be trusted in not picking up players if they have a healthy player on the IL. Once locked it is the managers responsibilty to give you a heads up that he might want to add the player soon.

Don't eliminate the IL. Just make the players police themselves like I do in the Money League.

Speaking of the Money League, Stan you ever planning to rejoin us there?

Eh, I could say yes, but I doubt I'd be that commited. School got way too busy, too quick. Didn't really see it coming. This will most likely be my only league next year

Time for a firesale. Now with Amare out to go with Boozer and Bogut (among others) my title hopes are shot. I'll trade any of the guys on my roster to a contender for a package of younger guys and/or injured guys who will bring me more value next season. I don't think you guys understand the concept I'm getting at here. I said I would trade my best healthy guys for players who would be more valuable in future years, i.e. you win the trade for the rest of this season but I probably win it five years from now. This means I'm interested in trading for guys mostly under 25 and/or guys who are out for the year with an injury. This does not mean I'm looking to trade Amare for 50 cents on the dollar. It also means I'm not willing to trade my young players for your 35-year-old who's having a good year, that's actually the opposite of what I'm going for. So please stop wasting my time with **** like that.
