I'd REALLY like to avoid that.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I wondered when Reggie Jackson would go. He was my second choice for 193. I only hesitated because of the battle between him and Lamb for the 6th man role. Personally, I think Jackson has the edge.

It doesn't matter how bleak his situation is, he will always get his (even if it's only points, rebounds, and percentages). He also really helps your small-ball team, because even though he doesn't produce a ton, he doesn't really hurt you in the % CATS or TO.

I considered him too during my last two rounds of picks. There is a lot of compitition for minutes but he does always seem to produce.

I am curious what people are expecting from Jason Terry in Brooklyn. I am guessing about the same as last season. I just don't know if a young coach like Kidd will rely on a veteran or want a young player that won't question as much.

I almost took Jackson instead of Terry. Obviously I think Lamb has the advantage. Jackson is just a little too short for the 2 but will get minutes at the 1. Lamb really should be stepping into the Harden/Martin Role. Lamb was basicly unguardable in the D-League.

It's hard to say. Brooklyn has a ton of veterans, so I think you'll be looking at sporadic minutes based on injuries and playoff seeding. Kidd seems like the type to play who will win games, so I think that Terry could see the court quite a bit at the 2, but he won't play much PG as Deron will probably take most of those minutes. Just my guess though. After Deron Williams, that whole roster is a question mark from a fantasy production perspective.

Since we are heaping praise, good job Frost on Jason Thomas. I planned on taking him at 186 but figured Derrick Williams might be a little more versitile.

Yesterday I wrote up a very very long post to answer all Curtis' claims about "top draft picks don't have an advantage" but the browser crashed so now I sat down to write another one but after a few sentences I noticed that I don't have the patience to do that. But I do have a little time on my hands...
So now I'll give a few names that I think are pretty good picks with respect to their draft position (in the first 100):

Love - Can be a steal and become top 3-4 again.
Rose - 3 years ago he was top 10, 2 years ago he had an injury plagues season and we all know last year. After so much time to work on his game I think he can return like 3 years ago.
Griffin - Especially on Cy's team the dude is pretty good
Kobe - I actually like the pick very much, just not on Cy's team, the roster totally negates Kobe's FT%
Thad Young - You know why.
Pau Gasol - He can be top 20 barring his knees acting up (which is really a concern)
Amir Johnson - can be top 40 and hence a steal
Eric Gordon - I'm not saying he will be a steal but that's a pretty good gamble

pick I don't like:
Cousins - I wouldn't have touched him even with a stick before 40 or maybe even 50s.
Tobias Harris - didn't even consider him until 70-80s, I don't expect him to get 37 mpg like he did in the last 2 months, especially with Big Baby back, they are deep right now.
Vasquez - don't see him getting 36 mpg and also there were proven all-around talents around IMHO,

I'm gonna go ahead and call this one a bad pick.

So because big baby; an overrated, overweight, injury prone, probably going be traded; player is back for orlando... Tobias harris, who was ranked in the 30s during his stint in orl, wouldnt peak your interest until the 80s

Picks I liked off the top of my head.

Danny Granger
Gerald Wallace
MKG
Chase Buddinger

Hmmm... All swings. Interesting.

I guess if I had to pick a big or two...
Amir Johnson
Javale Mcgee

And if I had to pick a pg or two...
Brandon Knight
Jameer Nelson

(ignoring all my own picks because I like all of them obviously)

Done. :D

Originally I was going to fill a positional need for a 10th starter (forward) but opted instead for a backup guard. Bayless is a decent fit for my team, and I've been waffling on that 10th starter so I can wait a few more picks.

People always seem to like Amir Johnson. I do not see the appeal. Maybe he puts up good fantasy numbers but he is nothing be a role play. Pick him late enough and he is a good pick but teams are just waiting to move him to the bench for a star.
