Cyrus, since you are an alternate, and woody just picked 20, can you pick a new number (i assume you will take Headliners spot)

I vote Yes for draft position poll and No for "no trades"

15 people voted on the 2 polls.

Lottery result let's you select your own draft position: 15 out of 15 in favor
No trades during the draft: 9 are in favor of no trades, 6 are in favor of trades

Not that I care much about trades but why are we making such a big deal out of this? We haven't been late to finish our draft in 10 years, not even once. But as I said I'm OK with no trades as well.

We also need to vote on the Free Agency Auction and the G/F/Utility positions. Can you guys please vote on these as well? Because these rules will probably affect how some managers draft...

Considering how late we already are, I think another vote might stretch this out even more. That being said, several of us did vote, but probably not enough to be considered significant

Regarding the live draft I really dont see the point on doing that unless someone can grty we can find a date we all can do it ( and since we are in different time zones what going to happend is someone is going to miss it and not only his team going to be a mess the guy picking after and before is going to have a unfair advantage since he going to pick the next player coming up and we cant trust draft rankings. That said I dont see a point in doing it

As for the G/F/U spots I all in favor in doing it and will start with a BIG NO and will explain why : with cutting 2g and 2f for 4 U what going to happend is GM will not be in need to do trades and since we going to do a no trade draft I fully expect a few more trades after. Also it takes the skill out of the game you just pick 4PG to bump you stl ast ft and probably pts or 4 C to bump your reb blk FG and so on.

If this is accurate, we are waiting on Floppymoose, Woody (needs to pick a number), Stick, Headliner, Moose

Sk1p and Cyrus have offered to be a replacement if someone opts out.

Who is our admin this year? Can you send emails to these few to get the manager list finalized?

We need to get the ball rolling here very quickly as the season starts on October 16th.

I suggest September 3rd, Monday 9 am EST as the draft start date. It will be an offline draft as there does not seem to be enough traction for a live draft at the moment.

Woody and Floppy please pick your balls quickly, remaining balls are:

11
12
15
16
20

I will email Headliner, Moose and Stick, I expect them to be back.

League is up on fantrax already so you can access it using your accounts on fantrax.

Headliner said he's out. It's AlciG and Moose who haven't checked in.

jfrost wrote:Yeah, i think both rules passed now. When can we run the lotto? We should get the ball rolling ASAP as it will take a few days to get the order determined post-lotto.

No, both options haven't passed yet. If you change your vote to 'no trades' then it will.

Lastly, I say
yes to UTIL spots
yes to rolling auction waiver for FA pool

We want to turn 1 g and 1 f spots into 2 util. Not all g/f spots... So the roster will have PG/SG/G/SF/PF/F/2xC/2xUTILITY. This is the default yahoo setting as well. I think it's stupid that we force this issue in a 280 player deep league, while yahoo's default for 150 player leagues is 2 utility spots.

I brought up the util spot this year, but I guess I haven't voted.

I vote for G, F, U, U

If people have checked in and haven't selected a lotto ball, just assign them a number.

That is because 150 player leagues are for wankers and we are men.
