Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Didn't read the exact rule, but going forward, I'd like to agree that when any one of us has a player on IL who has played a game while on IL, we should not add another player until the said player rejoins the active roster or is renounced, regardless of whether we are locked or not.

I believe that actually is the rule...

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Guys,
in the past I used to lock teams as soon as a player on the IL came back. That said, I couldn't guarantee that I would always be around when that player's team wants to add them back (in time)...and this led to some teams being disadvantaged.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Of course I had to run into a sleeping monster in Chris. All his double digit assist and rebound nights are getting me down. Oh well, it's Iverson time baby! Our front office's faith in him has been repaid.
A couple notes:
1) I was always under the impression that streaming was more than 5 moves a week and I don't think that's such a hard target.
2) Boozer and Salmons are available.
3) Someone trade with me!
4) WB shops at the Dress Barn.
5) The Invincibles would like to make a public statement, an ode to Ryan Gomes:

5) The Invincibles would like to make a public statement, an ode to Ryan Gomes:
All those years ago we controversially traded a first round pick for Ryan Gomes thinking the immediate production and consistency would make him a solid and valuable 10th-15th player for years to come. His production has never been flashy, but in truth he's a positive force in everything but blocks. In retrospect, we would do it all over again Ryan. Keep defying the critics.

I am such an idiot. I missed 8 steals from CP3 last night. That's 4-5.

You will still win... TO's and Points will go to you probaly, so at least 5-4 for you at the end if I can hold onto the rest.

You know WB, some of the disparaging things I've said about your team have just been because I don't like you, but this time, boy, you really pissed it all away on that trade. You lost out in production and traded a promising rookie. Vince is going to be 33 in January.

Seems like a trade for names only.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
You're right. What will decide the winner of this trade is the arc of the careers of the players involved. WB thinks he's getting a star and buying low on the other two. I personally believe Carter has entered his decline and Barbosa and Ford are "success stories" that have already had their moment. Barbosa is a less talented, older version of Curry, Turkoglu is of equal value to Carter but still in his prime and Ford isn't a significant factor because he's 5-11, had serious spinal problems and is never going to start again.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Well, I've questioned WB's trades before, and I've been proven wrong, but this one really seems bizarre. For the season, Turk is ranked higher than Carter (and he's younger), and Curry is ranked significantly higher than Barbosa (and he's younger). Is it really worth the huge downgrade in talent to get Ford??

**** hell, you're gonna **** stream against my **** team next week, and **** murder my team 9 **** 0.
Starting to doubt Oden's long-term success in the NBA now. Sad if he never really got a chance to play.

Nah, I won't be streaming against you. This week was a must stream, for reasons you can see in the current score.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Maybe I should pray that my Monday guys shoot really well...and then I can bench everyone, to only lose 6-3. Sinister.
I really am struggling to find a category where I could beat you.
My team sure know how to turn the ball over; you'd expect your stars to turn it over more as they have the ball more, but my team has no stars..
And all this, as I am perhaps on the cusp of winning for the fourth week in a row.

Re: Ongoing FFDL Discussion Thread
Hedo and Vince are only a few years apart in age.... personally, i'd much rather have Vince if I wasn't rebuilding. Also, the Nash aging factor also comes into play for Barbosa. Barbosa was a stud when he wasn't stuck at the 2.
Anyways... obviously, i'm grabbing youth. not sure what is in store in GS or the real prospects of Curry but it was enough for me. I also get WB's 2011 1st in this trade, btw.
and David West and all of my other veterans are also on the block. I'm in full rebuild. Send me you offers...

Damn you Sui for taking Durant instead of Oden. I should have tried to talk the guy into taking him.

Hanging on desperately against Kohanz. Will be either 4-5 or 5-4.
