do we have anybody from China or Australia? as far as I know, no, then it is pretty easy

set the live draft on a Saturday anywhere between 10:00 AM EST to 6:00 PM EST, for us this is between 17:00 PM through 1 AM on a saturday

I wouldn't care if I didn't go out on 1 saturday night (though we can still go out either before or/and after the draft)

but I know we have a lot of conservative, old hats out here, so a live draft will most probably never happen, but I'll post about it every year since I love it, maybe 10 years later you'll accept!

So, since stick was late, Sk1p had 8 hours from 3Si's pick before he was late. By my watch, he's about 10 minutes late now?

I'll pick shortly, unless someone objects to my math.

Ok, I'm done. This is the earliest I've ever finished my draft before.

Here is how it turned out:

bww78
PG - Ty Lawson
SG - Klay Thompson
G - Brandon Jennings
G - Jason Richardson
SF - Markieff Morris
PF - Tristan Thompson
F - Luis Scola
F - Kevin Seraphin
C - Marcin Gortat
C - Nene
Bench - Danny Green
Bench - Taj Gibson
Bench - Corey Maggette
Bench - Shannon Brown

I generally got the players I wanted, so I'm pretty happy with the results. We'll see if my predictive powers do me right during the season.

I think something got messed up in the draft thread. It may or may not have contributed to Sk1p being late. 3si picked at 203 and Stick at 204 but on the front page they are listed as:

203 stick
204 3Si.

That's because Stick was late, and 3Si picked. Then Stick picked after.

I'm impressed taht you finished so quickly. I also looked at a league where 280 players were claimed and decided I didn't want to be there at the end of the draft or scouring the garbage, er, waiver wire for players. But, I still have 3 picks to go and you are done.

Hats off.

I would prefer to have more information available, and most people are just ramping up talking about fantasy football at the same time we start our draft. We usually finish before the NBA and fantasy writers really start to pay attention to the pending season. I think it would be beneficial to wait until then.

We are the ones that fantasy writers should be reading from. Our league is just as competitive as any of those writer's league

I thought the 6 for 22 trade was too good and when I look at your team I see that I'm right, though I don't like Maggette, Morris and Tristan Thompson much. Still you got yourself a very nice team

Yeah, that trade was a heck of a good one. The 6th pick was worth a fortune. When I tried to trade the 10th pick I didn't even get an offer. Was a huge drop in value in 4 slots.

The value line is wherever Dwight get's picked. Same every year...

Also, Woody loves to move up into early first round. So he's setting the pace on the value there.

That deal might be a little lopsided in favor of Bww or not, but you only think that it is because you didn't get it (also know as grass is greener syndrome)

It's basically whoever is willing to negotiate who sets the pace on value. A lot of GMs are too cool to even reply offers, especially in the earlier rounds.

I haven't read any complaints this year about missing out on any "professional analysis". Not to mention, anyone who needs the mocks that come out mid sept-oct really shouldn't be in this league anyway. I mean look at your team, solid all the way around. You didn't need any "analyst" help.

If it's not broken, why fix it?

I prefer NOT having readily available 'professional analysis' myself.

Once Woody picks his last three players, it will be interesting to see what the trade looks like in terms of actual players, rather than just draft picks.

got 7 managers ahead of me and got 4 players on my short list (actually got 9 but I'll be much happier with 4 of them)

so guys, please don't pick them.

Agree, they screw me over most of the time, yet I still read them when it's available

I'm hoping sly doesn't take the full 8 hours. It would be nice if I can make both my picks tonight. If not, I'll send you a list.

I like that we do a slow form draft before most other mocks and rankings come out. It makes me feel special, like an insider expert. 8-)

On a side note, I'm looking to package 233+238 to move up. Email me if you don't mind moving down.
