Last season jazzfan1971 start this topic I loved it so I decided to copy past and start a new one for this here

"I've heard it said that in quality leagues it's the late draft picks that determine who wins, not the early ones.

Taht being said, lets talk about our last 5 picks.

How are they showing so far in pre-season? What kind of stats do you project? What are the odds you'll drop that player before the season ends?

Lets have some discussion."

My Last 5 picks

154 - Fran - Jermaine O'neal - slow start but I expect big things from him @ very least to finish 100-120 rank. Kperk is out till jan and when is like this they will wait till after the allstar game and since the c´s will need him on PO we will come slow. the other o´neal is a inj prone need to rest so 20-25mpg is grt for JON and in the c´s he doesn´t need to make pts like he did when he fail in Mia. He can reb he can blk so I dont need him to make much more

167 - Fran - Linas Kleiza got to love him makes a bit of everything. In a bad team mid players look like allstars. He will give pts 3pts some rebs and ast and yes alot of to

207 - Fran - Wesley Matthews - I think when I grab him alot of gm´s thought I was crazy. well they are not wrong but regarding to mathews I knew he signed a big contract with the PTB so they must had some ideas for him. I was right

234 - Fran - Rasual Butler - safe pick - but sooner or lattter I will trade him or dump him just dunno
he gives me 3pts and ft and some pts with low to and he will finish way up 234 but...

247 - Fran - Aaron Afflalo -steal period he is going to have a carrer year dont you agree?

Best

Fran

I had a relatively poor showing in my last 5.

Moon was traded, we'll call it for Barbosa who's been rather disapointing.

Aminu was traded, we'll say for Warrick who I dropped and is now looking decent. D'oh!

Nazr is struggling to get minutes despite no real other stong options on the team.

My sleeper of the year pick isn't quite performing up to my expectations. (Ty Lawson). But, he did have a pretty decent outing last game, so maybe that's a good sign of things to come.

And Joel Anthony has been about what I figured. Some blocks and not much else. I like him decently though as his stats are very clean and he could still earn a larger role.

Overall I give my last 5 picks a C-, D+ rating. Not nearly as excited about them as I was last year.

Mario Chalmers
- BUST

Ronny Turiaf
- good pick

Rudy Fernandez
- up and down so far
- I still think he'll have a good year if he can stay healthy

Roddy Beaubois
- remains to be seen

Mozgov
- mini-bust thus far...had 9 points tonight though...maybe he's getting comfortable?

Allen Iverson
- LOL
- I did say I would end up cutting that pick when I made it
- I replaced him with Reggie Evans who's leading the NBA in rebounds (I'm assuming)

My last 5 picks were Brad Miller, Nate Robinson, Nick Collison, Tony Allen, and Jordan Farmar.

Miller has been mostly useless as he's been hurt and limited in playing time despite Yao's limitations. Nate Robinson, Nick Collison, and Tony Allen were dropped. In their place, I currently have Shannon Brown, Shelden Williams, and Antonio McDyess. They've been fairly solid pick ups, Jordan Farmar has outplayed his draft position as Harris's backup.

Just hours after I write this, Miller goes for 23 pts, 8 rebs, 5 asts, and 3 threes.

My last 5:

Kelenna Azubuike - I think he'll be worth his draft position once he starts to play. Hopefully that makes up for the early beat-downs I've endured.

Raja Bell - I was expecting more 3's and better %'s....but I'm surprised with this steals and his overall production. He's still not worth it from where I took him though.

Dampier - I still think this was the correct pick with what was left on the board. I just wish he'd sign with a team and start giving me those Blocks, Boards, and FG%. If/When he comes back, I'm confident I'll be able to beat the tankers of those cats.

Hansbrough - Up and down, but I'm glad I took him here. I could use better percentages and consistency from him. Also, SF eligibility would be nice even though he doesn't play there.

Lowry - I like this pick, and the Brooks injury makes it even better. I just wish he'd stop shooting 20% from the field.

I was expecting to get a few decent options with my final 5, as I traded up and my final pick was 206. That didn't turn out very well for me. Injuries are the primary culprit, but other decisions were just poor before and are highlighted now. Also, I still need a SF and I'm upset I only took an injured one.

174 - Floppymoose - Taj Gibson
187 - Floppymoose - Hasheem Thabeet
214 - Floppymoose - Toney Douglas
223 - Floppymoose - Quentin Richardson
254 - Floppymoose - Earl Watson

Taj: Has been at 169 so far, 139 if you exclude my tank category. Not a home run but has beat draft position.

Thabeet: Thabust, like I thought.

Douglas: right around 140, a nice pick for me.

QRich: WTF?

Watson: I just took a flyer on him in case he landed in a good situation early in the season. He didn't. He was quickly replaced with Glen Davis, who has been a solid free agent pickup.
