Mini FFL - a league with a live auction draft

I asked a few of you guys from FFL and you were warm to the idea. So here it is.

This league will feature a live auction draft and run with the same rules as FFL. I'm thinking about at least 10-12 managers, though open to the idea of 14 or 16 as well. If you are not familiar with it, auction takes around 3-3.5 hours to finish (depends on the number of total picks as well). So if you don't think you can spare 3 hours of your time for a whole season of enjoyment, then this is not for you.

There will probably be both Europeans and Americans in the league, so the draft time could be a bit tricky to determine. What I have in mind is probably around 3 PM for Eastern Time US on a Sunday, which would mean 9-10 PM for us Europeans. Though nothing is set in stone. We will probably use one of those where multiple people can select their "available periods" on a calendar.

Anyway if you are interested, just say I'm in. And when we reach at least 10 people, we'll know we have a league in our hands.

If one cannot make the live draft, will there be an auto-auction set up? (i.e. are we using Yahoo?)

yes we will be using Yahoo. Though even if you setup a queue at an auction, it's incredibly hard for you to get a good team. So I'd strongly recommend you make the draft. In fact if your schedules are sporadic and there is somewhat of a reasonable chance that you'll miss the draft regardless of its time, then I'd suggest to not join the league.
