Put a hundo at Djoker down two breaks in the third for Djoker at x26, in case of an epic choke incoming to counter his choke.

Oh well.
Hopefully Djokovic and Nadal are both healthy and rested next year, would love to see them each win multiple more GS titles.
Both could very well leave Federer in the dust.

Re: OT: Djokovic one match away from Calendar Grand Slam
Novak caught an aging Nadal with more injuries and a grandpa Fed also having his injury woes the last few years
that plus the new crop minus Thiem and Med being complete mental midgets and mediocre caused ppl to overrate him. Even Zverev only won gold b/cit was 3 sets hes not that guy in 5

For whatever reason, this just isn't Novak's tournament. It's entirely possible he retires with more French titles than US Open titles.
What's truly bizarre is how dominant he is at the Australian, which I'm pretty sure is the same surface (I think different hard courts have different compositions, but I'm a casual so I don't have a great idea of the differences).

There’s hope for Nadal after all.

Shows how freaking hard it is to win calendar slam. Novak just wasn't there.
He'll probably win Aussie Open though.

Finally won a US crowd over. It probably helped that his opponent was a Russian.

Aus Open's court surface is slower which helps Djokovic, and also it being early on in the season helps him too. His play style is very physically demanding and he plays a ton of matches each year, so he's much fresher in January than in September.

It will likely be the same matchup in the AO again, these two could have a nice little rivalry going.

Next year could be the last chance for both of them, I don't see either winning any at 36+. But then again, 6-8 years ago I probably couldn't have seen them even playing at 35-36, which seems to be a given now.

Do you think playing in the Olympics was fatal then? Or did he have enough rest?

It would be nice if Nadal won his second Australian, since he only has one and that would complete a second full set. At the same time, Djokovic can complete his third with a French. I don't think them swapping titles on their favorite surfaces is likely, but who knows?

These are the two most credible all time modern seasons.
Now if you want the metric comparison Djokovic has a way more stacked and accomplished and experienced top ten to go up against.
Peak Fed basically lost to a 20yr old world number 2 Nadal on clay (50-2 in 2005 and 26 - 0 2006 lol freak but the year before he was better overall more wins injury). Outside of that he won a crap ton. But the truth is Djokovic really did have the harder comp.
The results and peer comp paint a very very distinct picture on their best years in terms of accolades, titles and achievements. 2015 top ten is stacked.
Curious to see your argument for 2015 over 2011.
I'd venture to say this is similar to Lebron 2013 vs Lebron 2018. It boils down to preference?
3 slams, 4 slam finals, record 6 masters titles (which is ridiculous in numerous surfaces including 2 clay titles!) ATP Finals title, versed the top 10 (which was stacked out the wazoo not comparable at all to Fed 06) to 31 wins a record, 15-4 record vs Nadal, Fed, Murray. Higher av rank median versed per match (20 when taking out wildcards/non seeds). In terms of Elo it’s an ultra studded cast and difficulty.
Basically War level Wawrinka (14-16) stopped him from having the greatest tennis season possibly ever.

MJ played 11.5 seasons of NBA. If anything to question about longevity is that MJ doesn’t stack well.
20 yr old Djokovic beat prime Fed fwiw.

That kind of mental weakness is kind of a strike against him in the GOAT agrument.
You obviously don’t know much about tennis. Btw all three have beaten each other at very different stages of their career, pre prime, prime, post prime.
Djokovic still leads everybody on peaks.
