Potential Finals

Federer vs Nadal (Yup, Federer beats Djoker) - Nadal breaks record with his 7th RG crown

Stosur vs Sharapova (any of them can win it all) - Hope Maria completes the 4 slams, but Stosur might easily torch her..

Federer will most likely beat Djokovic, but I've been hoping for Federer's elimination since day one, because I prefer the Nadjokovic rivalry. A win for Nadal would increase his h2h lead over Djokovic to 19-14 and 6-3 in slam meetings.

I hope Stosur wins the women's.

Del Potro might have found god-mode again. He is crushing the ball on every point.

Guess he found scrub mode for the last two sets.

Also I think Djokovic is done. He just can't get over the hump on any of these games.

Does someone have that second set on replay for the last couple of hours? Set 3 and 4 are exactly the same.

As well as Tsonga has played it's only right that this match is going to a 5th set. Hats off to both players; Tsonga, for finally playing upto his potential and Djokovic for being unbelievably clutch in staving off multiple match points.

Wow Novak gets it done. That was amazing. Djokovic-Federer semi's should be great.

Looks like I will get my wish of a Nadal-Djokovic final! Tsonga has worked Djokovic into form. I mean, Federer may still win the semi, but Djokovic's chances have improved, because he finally started to attack without fear. For about 3 and a half sets Djokovic was playing way too defensive. Now he's found his groove (and he saved 4 matchpoints, a lot like his US Open meetings with Federer).

However, Federer has the momentum of having survived 2 sets down.. Djokovic has improved, but this is clay.. Djoker will be underdog in semis..

Tell you what: It will be a very interesting milestone if Federer gets to the finals. It will mean he'll have 6 French finals appearances. This will mean he'll be tied for 2nd all-time with Borg (Rafa #1 of course), and he'll have more French Open finals than Australian finals. We're reaching a point where it will make sense to call Federer a top 3 open era clay courter and where it won't make a lot of sense to imply he was weaker on clay than hard court per se.

Re: Women. Kinda pulling for Stosur. She wins this and she's an extremely rare bird: A HOF level doubles player who transitions and becomes a HOF level singles player.

He pulled through, which can be taken a couple of ways. Either he's gained confidence for pulling through (a big improvement in his game from previous years) or he's showing vulnerabilities to opponents...

I think he meets Fed next??! Too bad it's so early in the tournament, but it'll be a great battle. Hoping Roger pulls through...

He will face Tsonga assuming he wins tmr. Then Federer if he beats Tsonga.

I think he is clearly playing worse this year than last year. It is extremely unlikely he wins this grand slam anyway with Nadal in his way though.

Amazing how these two meeting in the semis has come about. I would absolutely LOVE it for Roger to advance :king:

Ya he just died after that 2nd set, must of just run out of gas. Absurd match from Djokovic, wish I could've seen it.

It was weird how before 2012 Roland Garros began I wanted Federer to lose in Round One, and every round since, to clear the path for Djokovic to make the final so Nadal could maim Djokovic. But then during the Tsonga-Djokovic QF, I saw that Tsonga might beat Djokovic and that made me hope Federer would beat Del Potro so Nadal could maim Federer in the final. Now of course I'm not happy to see Federer in the semi-final. I would prefer a Nadjokovic final. Still good to maim Federer, but its getting old.

Sam Stosur is having a total meltdown right now in the 3rd set. Looks like me out there shanking balls all over the place.

I hope she can pull it together.

Sharapova can be at times as well. She's my pick in the finals, but I wouldn't be surprised if Errani pulls off the win.

Man, Errani is playing the best of her life in this tournament...
However, Maria has been just excellent.. I'll give Maria a slight advantage in this one, just because of experience..
