3 straight Wimbledon Finals (and won it in 2008). While Federer was an unforced error machine in the 2009 Final v Roddick. Doubt that form could beat Nadal.

Nadal was pretty terrible at Queens

If he played beyond the Queens QF he'd not have had a rest before Wimbledon. That's after 4 titles in 8 weeks. He went back to Spain after that QF, ideal (and probably planned) loss. And no ranking points to defend this year on grass.

Pretty presumptuous there.

So first, it's 14-7 with Federer having the edge when not on clay.

Second, Federer won the second to last match they played, and it was on clay - and it was before Nadal's injury when Nadal was still on his best-ever streak of play which at this point still tops what Nadal's doing right now.

I remember the match you were talking about. It was in Germany somewhere and basically (if im correct), if Nadal won it, he would clean sweeped the whole clay season (which he will probably do sooner or later).

The question really is, when will Federer start declining?
can Nadal actually continue on playing the way he has been?

I would not be surprised if Robin Soderling will make a strong move.

Soderling unable to make that move at Wimbledon, Nadal just physically destroyed him 6-1 in the 4th set. Hopefully now Murray will beat Tsonga to set up a Nadal-Murray semi.

Sadly, I think we are watching Federer's decline and could Nadal match his dominance?

We'll see what happens. I'd feel better about his odds if he weren't 0 for 10 in hard court tournaments since his injury (his impressive run this year started exactly when he left hard court for clay).
