Aussie open 2011

Post#1 » by Slava » Fri Jan 14, 2011 8:20 pm

Starts this weekend doesn't it?

Most players in the men's draw seem healthy so should be great to watch.

I actually feel bad for Safina. I always feel bad when athletes inexplicitly fall apart. I was always a fan of Marat Safin so I cheered for her as well. I also did not think the way the media treated her was fair when she was #1.

Its just too easy to become #1 on the women's rankings compared to winning a grand slam.

Del Potro looked extremely rusty in his first round game. That feared forehand is just not there yet.

Mardy Fish lost to Robredo in the 2nd round, which is kind of expected I guess. Federer got taken to 5 sets.

Fed just won a set without losing a point on serve (5 service games). Wowzers. That's got to be discouraging for Robredo. Not sure I've ever seen that.

Roddick lost to Wawrinka. Not like he had any chance against federer in the next round anyways.

What a game by Federer with Wawrinka serving at 3-5 in the 2nd set.

Sad way for Nadal to go out but Djoker and Murray looked really good in their games.

Ughhhh......I can barely watch Federror play against Novak anymore. His utter crap play is pissing me off too much! :x
Seriously 5-2 up in the 2nd set and he loses it 7-5?!?!?!?!?!! The old Roger would've NEVER lost that set. Now he's down 2-0 in sets and down a break playing lazy tennis, missing shots and doing stupid drop shots. Its over for Fed at the AO this year and what a pathetic way for him to bow out on. :nonono:

Its over. Worked so hard to get the break back from Novak to make it 4-4 in the third only to give it away the next game. Sad sad sad.
