I really want this guy to win his first slam, he works hard and has a lot of passion for tennis..
I think he has better chances to win Australian Open, seems like he gives his best on that court..
Which GS do you think Andy will win first?? or you think he does not have a chance with Djoker, Rafa and Roger out there??

I think the public is generally sick of seeing Djokovic in finals, after he smashed a net post directly in front of a ball girl in Rome final, and then broke the player seating area in Roland Garros final. Murray is most welcome to appear in finals if he wants to. Really, any final with the top 4 involved is a competitive final (apart from Nadal-Djokovic at Monte Carlo this year). The head2heads are close in each case-
Djokovic leads Murray 8-5 (2-0 at slams)
Murray leads Federer 8-7 (Federer leads 2-0 at slams)
Nadal leads Murray 13-5 (6-2 at slams)
Nadal leads Djokovic 19-14 (6-3 at slams)
Nadal leads Federer 18-10 (8-2 at slams)
Federer leads Djokovic 14-12 (5-5 at slams)
Djokovic leads Murray 8-5 (2-0 at slams)
Murray leads Federer 8-7 (Federer leads 2-0 at slams)
Nadal leads Murray 13-5 (6-2 at slams)
Nadal leads Djokovic 19-14 (6-3 at slams)
Nadal leads Federer 18-10 (8-2 at slams)
Federer leads Djokovic 14-12 (5-5 at slams)

I'm fine with Murray never winning a slam. He's nowhere close to the big 3 and just gets over hyped since he's British.
His best bet though imo is the U.S open.Isn't that his fav one?

Hyperbole if I ever saw one.
Murray is extremely talented, he just doesn't have it mentally. He can hang with the best of them on any given day (except when it's a final, because he crumbles there mentally).

He is talented....the top 3 are probably gonna end up all time greats...Sampras was saying so recently...I'm sure most people agree on this.
Murray is nowhere close to that. 3 grandslam finals ...no wins yet.

I think you need to come to the understanding that most people don't view the stars of men's tennis at all the same way you do.
Also, the public doesn't even realize that there is a tournament in Rome so I doubt that's having an impact...

I actually don't but either of those explanation.
He is pretty close to the big 3, and the fact that he's been #4 4 years in a row in an era where the top 3 might end up being considered by some the 3 greatest in history means it's entirely possible he'd have a Top 10 all-time argument when all was said & done if he played in a different era.
The mental stuff, well it is tricky because tennis is such a mental sport that absolutely everyone "chokes" sometimes. Even Rafa, who is probably the most mentally robust athlete I've ever seen. In general though, I think people are being foolish when they think a player who does quite well in Masters finals and Major pre-finals goes all wobbly every time he's in a Major final.
Honestly, I could understand Murray getting all mental for THIS upcoming match because of what it entails ("He's the first athletic British male since William Wallace and this is last chance to help him win our Tournament!"), but generally speaking, we've never actually seen him go up against a player he was supposed to be in a Major final, and he's only had 3 shots. People need to relax.

So glad you made the distinction. An angry Scots mob is a frightening thing...
I think the US is his best bet, simply because Wimbledon has too much pressure for almost any man to bear, the French is the domain (generally) of specialists and he's fallen in the final at the Aus too many times for comfort. Having said that, once having won his first (at whatever venue) I feel that he'll mentally be prepared for wider success (with the French being the exception, as noted)...
