Yea, Djokovic should have an easy time cruising to the final.

I've been out of the tennis loop for a bit - when did Fed hook up with Edberg?! Wasn't he with his previous coach for a long time?
And Becker is coaching Novak??!
It's like that cool NBA commercial where the greats of the past pass to today's players, only it's real life.

Kind of a blah first few days, hope there are some better matches in the coming rounds.

Novak played pretty well in his opening game, Serena stays dominant. I'm excited to see some new faces in the women's draw from the USA.

I think the young Australian Nick Kyrgios is going to be a star someday. Has a nice game and came back to win that first set against Paire.
Good run so far for Donald Young considering he's only won 2 slam matches since 2011. I'm hoping we see something from at least one young American this year.

Kyrgios was looking good until he physically hit the wall...hard. In the fifth set now but I'm sure he loses this.
On another note, I'm done believing in Del Potro.

Nadal vs. Monfils should be a lot of fun.

Dmitrov just took out Raonic in a long 4th set tiebreak. He looks legit, can't lie. He faces Bautista Agut next.
The Murray/Deliciano Lopez match has also been good so far. Headed for a tie break in the first set as I type this. The thing about Murray is...he's a good player, but he does nothing that really wows me.
Also, here's a shot from that Kyrgios kid that got me hype a few days ago.

I really would like to see some of these young guys break out because the prospect of Djokovic winning every grand slam for the next five years doesn't sit well with me.

Calling it now.
Halep will make the semifinals.

Some of these returns from Ivanovic are nuts. She's killing every long rally as well.
That's match. Ivanovic could be a force this tournament. Despite only 2 breaks in those last 2 sets, it didn't even feel like a close game.

The Stosur and Serena matches may be the best I've ever seen her play

I'm biased because she's a very attractive Canadian, but the Eugenie Bouchard performance vs Dellacqua screamed future star, the talent differential made sets 2 and 3 just look unfair. Could be a major name for the next generation

Some good matchups in the quarters.
Wawrinka vs. Djokovic rematch
Berdych vs. Ferrer
The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Berdych is that he is the ultimate pretender...but I've been lowkey impressed with him so far this tournament.

She wasnt even all that great against CD. She upped her game and stayed solid in sets 2 and 3 while CD basically fell apart and couldnt keep the ball in the court.
Genie's been showing future star upside for awhile. I think in the past 6 months she has faced all these players (S Williams, Stosur, Radwanska, Kerber, Jankovic, V Williams) and every single match shes at least taken 1 set.
She has a very nice all around game but shes incredibly composed for just 19 years old. She seems to stay very strong and reliable when the match gets tough and thats a great trait for such a young player on the WTA.
She needs to improve her forehand as she loops it quite often but besides that she has the skillset to be a force when shes 22-23.

Hopefully either Li Na or Ivanovic/Genie can take it. Really don't like Vika at all.
