Sharapova is a screamer. Yes, I know and water is wet. I would wife the hell outta Kirilenko though so I hope she wins.

Sharapova matches are the worst.

Harrison has a nice serve...but just from watching him now, his forehand is a weakness. Too predictable and he doesn't get the depth and pace on it...plus a bit inconsistent.

Plus he just doesn't have the shots that someone like Dmitrov has.

Really enjoyed the Wozniacki/Sharapova match-up. Wozniaci's defense was very good.

I'd like to see Wozniacki win a major soon. She is good for women's tennis. Just a super likeable person.

It's interesting to see how both Wozniacki and Mcilroy have gone on to play some their best tennis/golf in years since the break up. She's played some of her best tennis since she was a ranked number 1. What a story it would be if she won her first major here. I think she has a legit shot too. She's pushed Serena to 3 sets both times within the last month.

Still rooting for Genie though, but would root for Woz if Bouchard got ousted. Women's tennis is getting back to form after all those down years.

Don't know who Krunic is, but she's giving Azarenka some trouble so far, taking the first set. She has a nice variety of shots...shots you don't normally see in women's tennis.

Wawrinka looking really unimpressive against Robredo, although he looks to have some sort of injury. Was hoping for another Djokovic / Wawrinka classic, but with the way they've been playing leading up to things it looks like Djokovic would take it pretty easily unless Stan steps it up. Though Stan wins the 3rd set tiebreak as I type this.

Alright, I'm officially a Krunic fan.

I hope Serena wins #18, tying herself with Navratilova and Evert. Graf has 22.

Serena, Navratilova, Evert and Graf are the only women in the Open Era to have won 2 of each slam.

No man in the Open Era has. Federer needs another French Open. Nadal needs another Australian Open.

Sucks for Wawrinka, but Nishikori played a very good 5-set match.

What a treat for the QF. Hoping for a 5 hour epic.

Some quality volleys in the first set but Murray faded badly in the tie break.

This is the best I've seen from Murray's forehand. Good pace and depth.

Damn Djokovic just ground this one out while playing some thoroughly average tennis.

their 2012 US Open final was no prize either :nonono:

Djokovic-Murray really don't bring the best out of each other :noway:

in the 4th set it looked like Murray had sucked Djokovic in to playing passive and waiting for Murray to get "more injured"

Murray was bound to get injured with the amount of running Djokovic made him do. Now that I think about it, it was an excellent gameplan to pace himself while working Murray's anxiety to chase balls into submission.

it seemed like Djokovic was more aggressive in sets 1, 2 and 3.
Set 4 it looked like Djokovic's shots were low velocity and barely clearing the net.
this was presumably because Djokovic was falling into the trap of treating Murray like an injured opponent, and just moving Murray around.......and instead Djokovic's shots kept falling into the net, or were landing around the service box which Murray put away :noway:

At 5-4, after several easy holds by both players, Djokovic finally got the break to win the match when Murray did what he's done all year and threw in consecutive errors at a crucial time.
but i hate to see players play passive when the opponent is injured.
Wawrinka made that mistake in the AO final versus Nadal and it cost him the 3rd set :banghead:
but on that occasion Wawrinka woke up in the 4th set and regained his aggression for the win.

Monfils is such a fundamentally weak player but that athleticism is unreal.
