OT: Golfer Scottie Scheffler arrested

He's the no. 1 golfer in the world and got arrested this morning because he was unaware of a traffic shift due to a pedestrian being killed. He went in the wrong way to the PGA championship and was arrested. He is near the top of the leaderboard at the PGA Championship.

Update. They released him. It'll be interesting seeing the body cam footage. Apparently, Scheffler is a religious and generally nice person. The officer sounded like he was being aggressive. He did take him to the police station before being released.

Justin Thomas is gonna have to call in some favors to the Louisville Mayor.

How embarrassing when the PGA Championship is in town. It’s like the cop who shot Derek Jeter.

This cop is never going to be able to live this one down. For non golf fans, Scheffler is a mild manner guy and is well on his way to having an all time great golf career if he keeps this momentum. Dude is unstoppable.

Never heard of this dude before and didn't even know he was the no. 1 golfer...is that my bad? Or is he not pushed like bigger names in the past?

He's already won the Masters twice, including this year. He started off the PGA championship yesterday with an eagle.

I don't know about that. He's been a pro for 3 years. He has won 2 majors and came in second 4 times. He won the Masters this year and won 2 other tournaments in April, so he's rolling right now.

He's trending in the right direction in the past two years. Statistically he's a freak.

From a marketing perspective, he's just a calm christian guy from a personality. His game is disgustingly consistent so it ends up being "boring golf". So it's not shocking he's not a household name. But he's world #1 right now with no close second.

Rory has won 4 majors but hasn't won a major since 2014. Scheffler's 6 top 2 finishes in his first 3 years as a pro have already surpassed Mcllroy.

Here's Scheffler yesterday, 1st hole on the first tournament back since having his baby (his absence likely gifted Rory a win).

His cool reaction tells you everything you need to know about this guy. This cop is never going to be able to live this down.

The Kentucky cops have had one incident after another the last few years. Including the same Louisville police officers breaking into the wrong house and killing Breonna Taylor.

Yeah I just looked it up and I haven’t seen anything at all about him getting released. He’s still in jail as of right now.
