ATP or WTA (most competitive)

Which one is the most competitive nowadays?
The WTA has now
Serena, Kim Clijsters, Venus, Dinara, Sharapova, Dementieva, Kuznetsova and rising promises like Wozniacki, Azarenka, Oudin, and other good players like Penetta, Li, Petrova, etc.
The ATP has
Federer, Nadal, Murray, Djoko, Del Potro, and other good players like Cilic, Verdasco, Gonzalez, etc.
I think the WTA is now the most competitive since Kim Clijsters just showed that anything can happen. On the other hand, Federer and Nadal have been taken the edge over the rest.

I prefer ATP more than the WTA. Clijsters' win was much welcomed relief to a rather shrinking talent pool in the WTA but still since players like Sharapova and Ivanovic have regressed its come back to the Williams sisters dominating most of the slams and I don;t think Safina and Wozniacki have taken the steps to becoming a consistent threat to the slams yet.
The ATP on the other hand has guys like Roddick, Djokovic, Verdasco, Murray and now Del Potro consistenly challenging the top 2 and the matches are in general much tougher once you get to the last 16 of the slams.

Actually, Safina is a talented player, but i don't know, seems like her nerves betray her at the crutial moments. Hopefully, she'll win a GS and get that confidence.
I agree on what you said on the ATP.

Depends on your definition of "competitive". If parity is your definition, then it is clearly the WTA. If your definition has to do with how impressive the contenders are, it's clearly the ATP. Now look, I'm not talking about "who would win in a match". That's unfair. But look at how erratic all the top women in the world are now. You can't blame an upset on tough competition when you double fault your way to a loss.
As y'all can tell, I've been frustrated with the women's game for a while now. What I see is the ubertalented players of the past generation simply haven't devoted themselves to the game like their male counterparts, partly because women tennis players tend to have more options then men.
