WTA tougher than ever?

Post#1 » by raptor21_85 » Wed Jan 6, 2010 8:56 pm

This upcoming season, some ladies will be battling for titles.
Healthy Sharapova, she comes from a shoulder injury, expect her recovered and play at her highest level.
Fast and athletic Clijsters, she already showed she still has "it". She is still damn quick and able to compete at the highest level.
Motivated Justine, she saw Kim as an example. She knows she is still very young to compete. Hopefully, she still has that powerful hand move.
Williams sisters toughness, they are very clutch in the crutial moments.
Safina's Redemption? 2009 was her year, she even won a lexus and tons of money, but not yet a GS. Will she be able to win one this season? We know she has the talent, but she is mentally weak.

I fully expect the Wiliams sisters to do very well this season and if they are focussed on tennis, they are the best players still on the WTA list.

Kim Clijsters could be good barring injuries, same about Sharapova. Safina needs to add maturity to her game if she wants to win a slam. I could see some new players stepping up too with the likes of Oudin making some noise.

Jankvic and a returning Henin are my dark horses to have a good stretch at some point in time.
