Just putting this out there….
If Patrick Beverly is bought out, should the Grizz make a run at him?
Everyone knows the Benefits/draw backs on him.
But I think he has still got something in the tank and could really help us down the stretch.
I know or bigger need is likely a big guy who can screen and rebound, but I’m not seeing many of those options available right now
What’s your take?
Pat Bev anyone?

Re: Pat Bev anyone?
The problem is that we would have to waive someone and the only candidate is Tillman. Tillman has been important big man depth for us. Plus if Ja and Tyus are healthy I don't know how many minutes would be available for Bev. Had we made a trade and had an open roster spot I think he'd definitely be someone to look at.

Re: Pat Bev anyone?
There is no room for Pat Bev based on minutes alone. He would be a defensive pest to aggravate a guard into a bad shooting night. Keep in mind his theatrics may lead him into hot water at times.

Ok, I defer to the consensus on this one.
However, it seems that 3 point shooters absolutely torch us.
Typically it is not the primary threat, but the john doe who normally gets 2 minutes a game.

Yeah Brooks does a good job more often than not on the primary threat, but our scheme seems to leave open a lot of lesser guys who bury the wide open looks. Bev would help some, but I think our scheme may need to change. We overhelp.

The overhelp part makes no sense. The road to hell is pave with good intentions. Like with Sam Hauser bustin the Grizzlies with the 3ball game along with Derrick White. Stay home on your man. Otherwise, they score, you lose ground and maybe the game itself.

Another player that will bring unncessary drama.
Wait for Adams to return and hopefully he leads this team again in at least being the "veteran presence". Because at this point of the season, we don't have a real leader.

It really does seem to be a scheme issue, because it seems like every single night someone has a career game from the 3 point line against us. Ordinarily/traditionally, you always want to protect the paint as your first priority, but the game is simply played differently now.

Pat Bev and Dillon on the floor together at the same time might be the most irritating/hated lineup in the league; if only we could make a run at Draymond, too, haha. Just kidding - I agree with the consensus: no room on the roster and, frankly, we have a need for a different skillset - we need to add three point shooting more than anything.
