GAME 20: MEM vs PEL

Post#1 » by El Hespiritu » Fri Nov 29, 2024 10:50 pm

They said Edey will return in a couple of games.
Brandom Ingram out.

Should be an easy win (they actually suck) but it's getting complicated.
Some individual streaks (Smart, Pippin, Wells) get us the lead but we're playing with low energy so far.

Al-Dama playing like an All Star.
Ja, not that much.

56-67 Mem
Half-time

It is always nice to beat New Orleans. Big props to Santi for killing it tonight.

Ja recovered some of his flow at the second half and helped JJJ to do it as well.
Kennard, Pippin, Wells, Huff, Jake... helping without many highlights.

Al-Dama at first half and BC at second, probably the more impactful.

First Win at the NBA Cup on Grizzlies history.
First game Ja Morant played ever in the Cup.

I hadn't realized that. I knew it was our first win, but I hadn't put together that we were missing Ja every other game as well.

Probably just a coincidence (infimous sample).
But certainly Ja Morant is our Number One so makes sense we wait for him to win in a new tournament.

Polite.
