Praise God that he is going to be ok. That's one of the worst falls I've seen in a while.
He is injured and likely out the rest of the season I would think.
Video of the incident is here:

I honestly don't hold animosity against Simpson on this one.
It was a bad decision on the part of Simpson and it looked like
Bad decision #1: he went up to try and block from behind
Bad decision #2: he appeared to change his mind in the middle of the block attempt
Bad decision #3: Tried to make himself small to avoid the contact
Bad outcome: wound up clipping Well's legs and created the damage.

I'm not going to say he "broke the code" like Kerr did.
Young man wanted to make a play and messed up and Jaylen paid the price.

Prayers for Jaylen on his recovery and hope there are no more complications.

It was an egregious flagrant and one that definitely has longer term implications. Really hurt me a lot to see that for Wells, who I am a huge fan of. Loved the pick when it happened and even more during the season. I don't think Simpson did this intentionally, but when someone goes up like that you can't body check him. One of the more gruesome plays I have seen in recent basketball memory. I will keep him and his health in prayer.

The fall itself was scary as hell. I'm glad that JayWell is recovering and came out of it with a broken wrist. The intend by K.J. Simpson was an unfortunate accident and bad timing on his part. By the time he realize he was not going to make his defensive move, he got caught up with JayWell and everything else unfolded from there. Unfortunate that JayWell's season has ended. I wish him a well recovery and that he comes back better than ever for the Grizzlies.
