Bane had no limitations on Thursday as he walked around and participated in games like Pop-A-Shot and posed for photos. After a summer where he has been limited because of offseason surgery on his toe, he says he is progressing well.

All signs point toward Bane being full speed when preseason begins in early October. He has been cleared to do most basketball activities outside of 5-on-5.

"I'm not quite cleared to play contact yet, but as far as working out on the court, I feel like my body is in a pretty good spot," he said.

Given Bane had his surgery back in June, he would be on target to be 100 percent by the start of training camp later in September.

If we as a team can get up off the mat and get some wins to get back in the mix, then he may get an Allstar nod this year with that type of production

If anyone deserves a shot at the All-Star Game it's DesBane. His continuous improvements to his game has been noticed by us Grizz fans and some outsiders by the plays and numbers he's put on from the last three seasons.

I was glad that Bane was able to fall to the Grizzlies as to his potential to be someone who can step in as a solid complemery player for the team. He has done a great job improving his game each season. I mentioned a while back that Bane has some Ray Allen vibes in reference to this post above me. Granted Allen had the better smooth stroke, Bane does has the quickness create his own shot plus his improvement on his playmaking ability.

Des is a great player, but I noticed that the team didn’t win with him playing without Ja and Tyus. So let’s keep on his greatness until he fully proves it.
