I'd love to do a Juan Dixon & Joey Graham for Damon deal. It works on the Trade Checker too.

Dixon and Graham are useless to the Raptors this season due to the abundance of swingmen we have, and we have pretty much lost faith in Joey G's inconsistent game. Maybe a change of scenery could lead to a different Joey G. Dixon can create his own shot and can provide a good scoring punch off the bench, and his deal is expiring in the summer, which would free up space for Navarro and whoever else in the FA market. This also would give Conley Jr. and Lowry more playing time.

For us, I would love to see a veteran that can still play in Toronto to fill in TJ's shoes temporarily and maybe even play some minutes at the 2 when he returns. The only problem for the Raptors here is Damon has an extra year and 5 million on his contract which may prove to be a bit tough since we need money to sign Calderon this summer, and Dixon's expiring contract helps in that respect. But overall I'd love to do this trade and I'm sure we can find enough space to extend Jose in the summer even after getting Damon.

Sounds to me that if the Raps need free cap space to sign Calderon in the upcoming offseason. They may be wise to keep Dixon's expiring contract unless they fnd another option in the trading department.

dude, you do a terrible job at arguing for such a trade. basically, dixon & joey can provide more than enough of what damon provides. dixon expires and they get a year to check out what joey can do for them. stoudamire just fits for toronto as a short-term solution. he's played there, he's got fond memories of toronto, etc. extra year doesn't matter coz he can be used as a quality expiring filler in a trade that would get the raptors a key player before their big off-season spending.

from memphis commercial appeal
Heisley understands, which is why he's working with Stoudamire on a buyout that could be finalized any day if the 13-year veteran is willing to forgo part of his future earnings
I think if the Grizz and Damon can work on a buyout, he will end up in Boston.

Doesn't make sense to buy Damon out before the trade deadline.

You never know what can happen between now and then.

WE have a full month +.

My guess with the buyout is that the Grizz and Damon don't want to waste more time trying to get the divorce proceedings over and done with. Especially from Damon's standpoint. Personally I feel that the Grizz are kinda rushing the buyout a bit. If they hold on at least another week, maybe a deal will surface. If they feel that a buyout is better and cheaper to do that pull a trade. Then that's what they will do.

My stab at trading Damon (along with mike for a SG, a young hustle player and an expiring).

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to New York being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
