Memphis Trade Breakdown

Incoming Players

Pat Garrity 6-9 PF from Notre Dame
2.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 12.5 minutes

Carlos Arroyo 6-2 PG from Florida International
6.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.7 apg in 18.8 minutes

Unprotected 1st round Pick (08)

Outgoing Players

Damon Stoudamire 5-10 PG from Arizona
7.3 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 3.8 apg in 21.3 minutes

Mike Miller 6-8 SG from Florida

Why for Mem: They get rid of Stoudamire and Get 1st Round Pick , Bogans replaces Miller Arroyo replaces Stoudamire Garrtty Expiring and the 1st is for the future.

Why for Magic : The would love to get Miller to O-Town to start at 2 and stoudamire could provide usefull

Not that wild about it. However, something along the lines of...

Arroyo
Garrity
Dooling
Bogans
Reddick
'8 Unprotected

for

Miller
Cardinal
Stoudamire
Jacobsen

Consider it a deal...

my two cents:

miller, swift, stoudamire, cardinal

for

garrity, dooling, evans, augustine, right to fran vazquez.

arroyo to gsw for a 2nd round pick.

orlando needs a backup pg, more shooters to surround dwight and another big. they get all of these things.

we go way under the cap for next summer (arenas anyone?).

open a starting spot for navarro, who struggles as 6th man (7

Switch Cardinal for Swift and you got a deal on the Magic end

Nah - Cardinal has to go. That's the Magic's only real "give" in the situation.

I've seen deals like this proposed for the past season and a half ... and they still suck for the Grizz - maybe wait until 2009.

The magic need a consistent option at the 2 to open things up for the bigs and a veteran point guard.

The Grizz need a defensive wing who can knock down the three to keep defenses honest. We can ill afford to trade Miller and not get that need taken care of.

Goddammit! Everyone, change your freaking subject line if it's a dumbass trade proposal you've come up with and not a real event.

On the flip side I don't think that anyone should expect to obtain MM for beads and trinkets either...
