Any way to get MM/JCN to the Warriors?

Post#1 » by gswhoops » Sun Feb 3, 2008 2:04 am

I like both these guys a lot, and think they would look great in a W's uniform as backup Gs (or G/F in Miller's case).

Any logical combination that could get us one or both of these guys? Baron/Andris/Monta/Jackson would definitely be off the table, and we can't really give up Al without getting a legit big man back. Which leaves...

TPE (big enough to cover MM's deal)
Pietrus
O'Bryant
CJ Watson
1st round pick
etc...

No thank you. Both have more value to us than to other teams. O'Bryant, I'm worried, if we took him, what exactly is he? A lottery worthy stud who wasn't given a fair chance or a Kwame clone? If it's the latter, we don't need it.

We're pretty attached to BW so I doubt we give him up right now.

I don't think the Warriors are wanting to trade Brandan Wright. He is still developing in the NBA and for the minutes I have seen from him he has been very productive and has fit into our system nicely.

CJ watson cannot be dealt until after the trade deadline because he was recently signed- basically he can't be traded.

The addition of Mike Miller makes it impossible to stay under the lux tax to re-sign Ellis and Biedrins...unless Harrington is sent out, which the Grizz don't do.

It won't work on any level and people should stop posting dumbass trade ideas.

Seriously?

Gasol goes for an unproven rook and two late picks, but Mike Miller will demand a guy like Brandan Wright?

What has Wright proven. And I will just have to get used to hearing the "traded for nothing" thing when it comes to the Grizz. Much like what happened when Michigan lost to app. state...a phrase follows you for a few months/weeks.

What exactly would you guys be looking for in return for Miller and Juan Carlos?

I know we have a thread on the Cavs board with a trade proposal, but honestly Im not sure what Miller's value is, or what the Grizzlies are looking for in return.
