Grizz Seat Filler....Who will it be!

Since we are making room for what I think will be a seat filler for the FedEx Forum, who will it be? Vince Carter looks to be getting shopped or we could just wait for the offseason. In this case, I think Boogiesdad idea of getting VC is not so crazy anymore since the exit of Gasol. Also what type of person do we look for to be a good teammate and an awesome player all in one. I don't think VC would be a better candidate than a Shawn Marion. But who knows what's in our front office minds. What do you guys think of this situation?

Sounds good to me. If I lived in the area, Gay alone would have me buying tickets.
Carter can be spectacular when he happens to be "on" but has always been moody and inconsistent --- and he isn't the player he was, at any rate. I can't see him becoming a big draw.

Carter's contract prohibits him from becoming a Grizzly. Management dropped the ball by not dealing for AI, if they were just wanting fans in the seats.

They are not going to go after a big name aging star. I fully expect the Grizz to either go after Gordon this summer by making a large offer to Deng, forcing the Bulls to match, then making a large offer to Gordon. Then try to pick up the best PF in the draft.

My dream at this point would be to trade MMiller&Lowry for cap room, and a mid 1st rd pick, then end up this summer with the following lineup.

Conley/Critt
Gordon/JCN
Gay/Jacobsen
Beasley/Warrick
Darko/MGasol

That is a very good core of young talent.

Here's my thoughts on your dream

1) If Jacobsen's on our roster next season Wallace should be fired.

2) Marc Gasol's rights were obtained to trade, not to keep.

3) JCN won't be resigning in Memphis

4) We're shooting for an 09 FA, not 08

5) We won't get the top pick...
