Larry brown.
Hey guys, i woke up and just seen this new... http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... _as_coach/
What do you think about this? is reliable or just a rumor?
Hire him means fire Iavaroni someone in wich we put a lot of confidence. At the beggining of the season i thought we could try to reach the 8th spot in the west but now we are fighting for a TOP3 seed in the draft.
Will you really miss iavaroni? i think i wont...

For what it is worth, Chris Wallace has been beating the stump about going younger ala Portland and building a team thru the draft. Then on Chris Vernon's show yesterday he was talking about having a veteran mix to the team next year. Granted he did say that he did not agree with Coach Iavaroni being in trouble but did say that everyone gets evaluated at the end of the season. To bring in Coach Brown will not be Chris Wallace's call but Michael Heisley's. Heisley wanted to hire Brown last year but listened to Jay W, and look at his product now. Coach Iavaroni's deal is not so big that he will not pay him and pay Larry Brown. I say it is 70% in favor of it happening, and for those of us who like deals Larry Brown likes to make them. Damn Darko I know this is not the news you wanted to hear.

He's gonna wish he stayed in Orlando!

I doubt the Grizzfans would be for this move to get LB. If they hated Fratello's half court slow down style despite it's success, I don't think LB here would solve the problem. And like GGF said, LB screws the young players over. That's the last thing that needs to happen. Having a coach here that doesn't play their young players.

The reason for such a move would not be based upon style of play but upon what Larry Brown is famous for with the exception of the Knicks which is turning a franchise around. He may not stick around long afterwards but he will make you competitive which some nights we are not even close to. It is true that he does not have any patience with young players which is why I found it ironic that Chris Wallace was mentioning veteran players being infused into the lineup when before every other word was about building around a young nucleus.

I know having Larry Brown is far fetched with our team but maybe if we could get him to keep M.I. for offense and he teach defense. I know that is stretching it but we really have to do something since we got rid of our franchise player. That trade is now going to come back to bite us unless we land bing in free agency. But who knows, with a H.O.F. Coach in Larry Brown, maybe we would get more interest from better players to come to Memphis to play. Other than that, we would have to shell out a fortune for maybe just one guy. With all of this being said, I think this will be another interesting off season.

According to CW via the CA, Iavaroni's job is safe and that he's not going to be relieve of his coaching status.

Nearly two months after his trade from the Grizzlies, this is what Pau has to say about the Grizzlies current pattern and predictions.

I really dislike how Larry Brown treats his players, and I'd hate to see it happen to these guys.
Also I don't think MI has been given a fair chance and the appropriate tools to build with.
But Juan Carlos was calling for some structure a few weeks ago and if it's structure he wants, he won't believe how much he'll get with Larry Brown.
..... All in all, I simply hope this isn't going to happen.

Vescey says he has it on "unfailing authority" that Skiles is second in line.
I'm inclined to think that Vescey is pulling things from his various orifices...
...or he actually spoke to Heisley or someone close to him. Heisley could have been wowed by the fact that THE GREAT Peter Vescey actually wanted to talk to him and may have given PV some statements under condition that they not be attributed directly to MH....
...nah, he's pulling garbage out of his ear.
