One and Done for Iavaroni?

Basically the link is from today's article on if Iavaroni is one and done. Some people are saying yes and others are saying no. All I know is two things concerning the Grizzlies. There's more fingering pointing and confusion I've even seen in a franchise than any signs of smart business decisions and perhaps a better level of common sense.

Iavaroni, should not feel dismayed, if that is possible when getting fired, because obviously he should get another look. His run was not on par with the likes of Dick Vital, Steve Spurrier, or Lou Holtz.

The Grizz situation just needs a more experienced hand as opposed to someone just finding their way.

The person who is really looking like a toothless tiger in all of this is Chris Wallace. It is obvious he is just a yes man which may be the reason he was hired.

Chris Vernon's blog has more information on the subject as well:

In the case of the Iavaroni hiring, I wasn't in full agreement with that since he was the new coach on the block. Had the Grizzlies were a new expansion team to the NBA, then I can see the hire. Also keep in mind that some people, probably the majority of fans put too much expectations into the Grizzlies winning 30 plus games. Too much pressure for a rookie coach and the players to achieve after coming off last season with the worst record. Should Iavaroni go? Probably b/c he was put into a situation that was considered way over his head. If he thought that he was going to turn the franchise around in one fellow swoop. That deal was a born to lose deal.

What really makes things worse for the franchise to me is that somewhere in the background is that a certain ex-employee is still pulling the strings here despite not really at the head of the line here. Also consider the fact that both him and CW are from the same state given the reason why CW got the job in the first place. The writing is on the wall on that issue. This whole mess is like a parent still potty training a 12 yr old kid. Makes no sense whatsoever.

What did you guys expect him to do for you this particular season. Did you think Memphis was a 50 win club?

I think before the Pau trade most honestly expected at the very least 36 wins.

He's gone...
