Don't know if I spelled it right but is he pulling the strings, and Wallace and Ivoroni are puppets at his mercy?

Also is Darko and Cardinal falling out of the favor of the fans and becoming just a burden on the salary cap at this point, are they bringing Marc Gasol over this up and coming season? Who would you guys like in the draft? Who do you guys like in free agency.

Finally are the Grizz just going through the motions, cause if so I feel for the fans, you guys deserve a winner.

As Cavs fan I remember those back to back playoff runs yall had with Gasol,Battier,Miller,Posey and J-Will. I always get good positive feedback from yall on these boards.

You spelled Heisley right but it's Iavaroni and I wouldn't call them his puppets. I mean it is HIS team so he does get to control it like Mark Cuban with the Mavs but I still feel he relies a lot on Marc and Chris to do what they're supposed to.

Darko is still okay in the fans eye, or at least mine, because he can play good D when not picking up quick fouls, but on the offensive end he becomes a liability since he came in wanting to be a scorer but his only move his a hook shot that is either hit or miss and usually misses.

As with Rogaine (BC), his contract is ridiculous and needs to get done with but I still remember 3 years ago when Pau got injured that the Grizzlies wouldn't have made the playoffs without him.

Marc Gasol has a 50-50 chance of playing over here this season according to Chris Wallace and I think he will be decent but the problem is money. He gets paid roughly 3-4 million dollars overseas and reportedly wants that much to play over here but I don't believe we want to pay that much for an untested player.

In the draft I like the guards, OJ and Bayless, but we don't need them so I'm hoping we'll either trade up since Miami is reportedly will shop the pick if Chicago takes Rose and Miami really wanted Miller at the trade deadline last season AND Ricky Davis won't be re-signing i believe. If Chicago took Rose I would say that Memphis should be willing to give up everything outside of Rudy to get the pick. If that doesn't work out then I say trade down and try to get a defensive vet and Kevin Love.

I believe the only free agent this off-season the Grizz would be interested in would be Monta Ellis who is a great player on the rise and is from Jackson MS which would make Memphis close to home instead of all the way out in Cali. It also depends on who opts out of their contract since there are a bunch of big ETO's.

I really don't feel like the Grizz are just going through the motions, I think it's a mixture of some poor management decisions, like trading the 2003 pick for Otis Thorpe. (And after LeBron Jerry West said before the draft he would've wanted Dwyane instead of Darko) and bad luck, such as before mentioned draft where instead of getting LeBron, we get nothing.

I would like to address the Marc Gasol issue. Wallace said it was 50-50 for the Grizz to sign him, BUT it would not happen until AFTER July 1.

It is no secret that Marc Gasol is coveted by a number of teams. I will not be surprised to see him traded for a late lottery pick (9-14).

Thanx Man I appreciate the indepth response.

Would you do this deal: Verajao,Smith,Wally,2008 19th 2009 2nd and draft rights of 6'9 235lbs Ejike Uboaja 2006 55th overall for

Darko,Cardinal,Miller

If not what players would you want from the Cavs in this deal?

Wally and Joe Smith combine for 17million dollars in expiring contracts, and both are great pros to bring in to contribute both on and off the court.

In essence this trade amounts to:

Miller and Cardinal for expirings and #19

Darko for Verajao and 2009 2nd

Depending on the situation, I would do this deal if there were not any better offers for Miller on draft night. I just think the Grizz are going to end up making a big trade with Seattle(#4), Miami(#2), or Knicks(#6) on draft night. Most all of these trades would revolve around MMiller.
