Another Grizz to the Finals

The Lakers beat the Spurs 100-93 to not only win the series 4-1, they advance to the NBA Finals with former Grizz Pau Gasol in tow. So one question comes to mind. With the potential matchup looking to be Lakers/Celtics coming next week, which team you believe will win it all. My take is on the Celts simply due to that they are the better team on paper. They also have the better defense to make teams for for their offense. Also they have the PGA Tour on their side when it comes to the offensive end. I do however have a sneaky feeling that the Lakeshow might end up with the trophy at the end of the NBA Playoff scene. Which would mean the former grizz Gasol practically hitch a ride to the championship. Otherwise, I'm looking for the Celts to win the series 4-3.

Who would the other be? Posey?

They are not there quite yet- the Celts that is.

If I had to say between the Celts and the Lakers, I would say that the Lakers would be my favorite. The Celts choke under pressure and the Pistons have been ravaged by injuries. I do not see the Celts really stopping the Lakers offense and superior height. Posey may play Kobe well, but I cannot see the Celts big men really dominating. (that is besides KG)

Will the Lakers send a ring to Wallace for handing them the title?

Two years later, the Bulls began their run of six championships in eight seasons. Reinsdorf, according to a source, sent Collins championship rings to acknowledge his work in getting the Bulls close.

What is really ironic is that Phil will win his 10th title against the team of the man who hated him so much for winning all those titles.

Red Auerbach passed away so he will not see it happen - but I consider it a major irony

If you meant Kendrick Perkins, he was drafted by the Grizz, but was traded immediately after. Also, did anyone checkout Jerry West handed the Lakers the WCF trophy? That really said a lot. He had a big hand in the Gasol trade and gets to relish the celebration with the Lakers. All the while the Grizzlies look like fools. If the Lakers win the championship in two weeks. The Grizzlies should change their name into the Memphis Giveaways.

West had nothing to do with the Gasol trade.

Yeah, I believed that he was referencing this year's finals. (which I was wondering because the winner of Bos/Det hasn't been decided yet but he assumed Boston)

West brought in Wallace.

West still has Heisley's ear.

Directly or indirectly, West was involved in bringing Gasol to the Lakers.

Why assume that Boston would win when it was inevitable to begin with. When the Giveaways gift wraped Pau to the Lakers. That move literally sealed the deal of a Lakers/Celtics NBA Finals matchup. Talking about history repeating itself 21 yrs later. The match itself comes down to money and ratings for the NBA.

Ridiculous "logic". Having Heisley's ear is just as ridiculous given Heisley's history with wanting to place some of his favorite players in the best scenario for them. cf. Damon Stoudamire.

The NBA conspiracy theorists always crack me up. Intellectually bankrupt.

What's my take on what? That the pre-season Eastern favorite has made it to the finals? Sounds like dog bites man to me.

"We"? Pretty empty and silly smack. Remember: you're a fan by choice.

Fans of teams identify with them. I know, I know ... this is a foreign concept to a "fan" such as yourself.

And if the Lakers win it all, Wallace should be owed a ring - we gave them the perfect compliment to Kobe at a bargain price: but then again, the Heat didn't give us a ring after 06.

It's amazing. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who is 100% wrong deliberately, but here you are. Further, you seem to revel in it.
