This is because he has yet to prove himself against fierce competition, preferrably at the European level. DX ranks him as the number 11 player in a weak International class of 1989.

He is a sixth man on a team in the CBA. That's not exactly your ticket to the NBA. Sure, he has potential. But, he has yet to prove himself at a high level, so the jury is still out.

He was one of the starting fives at Guangdong Tagers (CBA Champions) before he had been injured and loss the sit to another CNT PG(But now Chen will in CNT 12 but the PG would out CNT 12).

But he will be prove himself at Beijing Olympic Games!

I have little doubt that he can play, but I feel that his numbers in the CBA will be meaningless come draft time. Despite his speed and nice shooting ability, NBA scouts are going to need him to prove himself against better competition. The Olympics is the perfect place to start- yet it is not the end- all in terms of putting him on the map.
