With a username like that, I would have a tough time believing you are not a Grizzlies fan.

Even Chris Paul got a bigger wingspan. But okay, let it be "vertically challenged". I can live with that.
GrizzledGrizzFan wrote:Too weak. By far your weakest argument. Please spare me. He averaged 5 boards a game. He and Jason Kidd were the only sub 6'6" guys to average 5 boards a game.

So strength is only for rebounds? Guys like Kobe or T-Mac will abuse him in defense. He got only 177 lbs., so they'll post him up everytime he's gonna defend them. And there's no stronger Baron Davis besides him, it's Mike Conley.
GrizzledGrizzFan wrote:Can't shoot. Shot 53% - yes 53%, from the floor. Lead everyone 6'5" in this stat as well. No, doesn't have the best outside shot, but he picks and chooses his shots and drives like a fiend. Shoots your too weak statement to crap too...

I didn't say that he's got a bad shot selection. I simpy said he can't shoot. So, literally, he CAN shoot, but as you stated, his outside shot isn't the best. And that will not gonna help us - besides, for his drive, he needs space. He had it in Oakland, but in a starting 5 like Conley / Ellis / Gay / Warrick / Milicic (or Lopez, or whatever...), only Gay can hit the 3 constantly. That's not enough for a efficient run and gun system and certainly not enough for Monta Ellis. You need guys for him to spread the floor.

I'm just not buying the Grizz ownership giving away Gasol for financial reasons just to throw huge money at Monta or Biedrins.

Monta has an excellent shot. He just has no 3 pointer yet. If that's all you mean, then fine. But his midrange shot is better than most guards right now, he can get it whenever he wants, and he's 22.

Monta's a fine player but alongside Conley is a bad fit. With Miller,Navarro,Crittendon at SG....and the Griz thin at PF I doubt those penny pinchers throw $13 mill at any G.

Miller will likely be traded by the trade deadline, Javaris is still a green/unknown talent and JCN's going to be chucking for FC Barcelona.

The Grizz need a 2, why not make a play for Monta?

I guess you missed the part where Rem said Conley wouldn't complement Monta well enough in the backcourt which is probably true.

The Grizz will likely take big men with both of their picks. Maybe Love (or Beasley with a trade) and then maybe a Nathan Jawai, Roy Hibbert, or Joey Dorsey. So to sign a SG would make sense.

I watch more Warrior games than any other team.

I attend 5-6 Warrior games a year

monta Ellis is absolutely super & a rising star.

Any team that has a chance to get him would be absolutely foolish not to try.

I wish the bulls could get him....

If you can land Ellis while signing MGasol, then I think the Grizz have to draft either Love or Beasley (if the opportunity arises). If they draft Mayo, then the Grizz have to look at throwing money at Josh Smith or Okafor.

OK! have you heard of a such thing called a salary cap? if so their is no way they can sign monta for close to the max and have enough to sign Josh or Okafor who would want close to 11-13 mil a season, and monta wanting aroung the same or even more.

Plus why in your right mind would beasly still be their at the 5 spot or mayo for instant stop living in a fanasty world and do more research
