Even with what you've listed so far, imagine how much more they SHOULD have been able to do.
The ultimate failing of the Gasol deal is the fact that it was completed a full 2 weeks prior to the deadline. The Grizz didn't get all that they could get from that deal, no matter how much lemonade they squeeze out of it now.

I absolutely agree with that. The front office certainly did not "shop" the Lakers' offer! I mean, there were so many teams in the league that were upset after Gasol was sent to LA. However, the FO did this trade in an effort to build for the future. The first step in the FO's overall rebuilding plan was started on draft night. To me, it looks like they knew what they were doing...landing OJ Mayo and Darell Arthur. Now, the next step will be to sign Marc Gasol and develop him and his skill set. In addition, we have a glut of point guards, and a need for a low post presence. That to me means that another step towards that rebuilding process will be trading a point guard or two for a power forward...
It is my opinion that this franchise is in better position today than they have ever been! I would have loved to get more value for Pau, but the more I see the benefits being reaped from the deal, the more I like it!

A couple of things: first, I think it's odd that a fan of another team would have the audacity to start a Chris Wallace appreciation thread. It is somewhat insulting. second, West and not Wallace was the one responsible for the horrible Battier for the 8th pick trade.
