The Grizzlies shook up their starting lineup, but it was their resident stars who made the difference as usual, as O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay combined for 45 points to help lead the Grizzlies to a 93-81 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at FedExForum.

On the win
I thought our guys played harder and more together than they’ve played in the past. Regardless you’re playing an elite team or a team that’s struggling. I think it’s important that we establish that again and get back the trust in each other. No one is going to out- work me. I’m going help guys that work hard. I thought our defense stepped up in the second half. That was key to the game. It feels good to win again.

On the change in starting lineup
I think we liked Kyle Lowry on Baron Davis and Darko (Milicic) on Zach Randolph. That also coincided with that. It’s not a bad time to change things up anyway after seven-in-a row

Solid team defense - mostly good ball movement on the offensive end - capitalizing on the turnovers we forced - an all around great game. When I see the team that showed up last night, it makes me wonder why some nights the team with half-ass defensive effort and nothing but 1-on-1 offensive play shows up many nights.
