What's up with Grizzlies fans booing Pau?
Hey guys I was just curious what Pau did to deserve the boos? He did help you get to two playoff appearances (an overachievement).

IMO Pau should not have been booed. He lead the Grizz to three playoff runs (0-12).
However, Pau never (in the eyes of many) live up to his max contract. I've always held that Pau had the potential to be one of the best second options in the league - which he's now having a chance to prove playing along side Kobe. However, he will never be a franchise player.
No matter how unfair it is Pau:
ALWAYS went drama queen when calls didn't go his way.
Whenever he was fouled but there wasn't a call he had a habit of "checking for blood."
He runs like a girl.
etc...
He did a lot of things that as a second fiddle, you don't notice. But as "the man" is glaringly obvious. Finally, and most importantly, Pau's just not a leader.
Memphis is a hard nosed, college basketball town. It never embraced or appreciated Pau's style of play. That's why Pau's initial running mate - Shane Battier - was beloved by Grizz fans. He was everything that Pau wasn't, only without the natural skill set. It's also the reason that Marc has become a fan favorite so quickly.
All that said - Pau shouldn't have been booed.

Actually, he led us to three playoff appearances, and zero (0) playoff wins.
A couple months after the trade he said something to the effect that the Grizz would never win anything, because at one point we had Jerry West and Hubie Brown running things - top notch guys - and we couldn't get it done then. Of course, I'm paraphrasing, but I'm not being misleading IIRC: the interview is out there somewhere.
Of course, the problem with the West/Brown era was that they didn't have a true franchise player capable of leading the team they put together
