After drafting point guards who can't shoot (Kyle Lowry in 2006 and Mike Conley Jr. in 2007), the Grizzlies are looking at drafting one who can. They're high on Stephen Curry as a potential point guard and could get him if they land the No. 6 pick, as projected. He's the best shooter in the draft, even if his lack of size and quickness has raised some concerns.

I'm not sure how credible this source is, as the writer obviously doesn't quite know of Hollins' over-infatuation of Conley but if this is true and Memphis does take him at 6-9, I think it would definately be reaching, but he would be a great super-scoring 6th man in the Leandro Barbosa mold, a guy that a lot of posters on this board, including myself, want Memphis to go after this summer.
But I don't think there is any way in hell Memphis drafts Curry to replace Conley with Hollins coaching, contrary to what this article states, so I would like to hear from a source that actually has connections to the Grizzlies that they are interested in drafting Curry to replace Conley at PG.
I actually like the idea of Curry next to Mayo, as Curry's lack of true PG ability would allow Mayo to play a lot of point, something I have wanted to see ever since Memphis drafted him, and all Curry would have to do is do what he does best- shoot.
There would be some big problems defensively, however, which is why I would rather Memphis take Evans or DeRozan and move Mayo to PG if they are looking to go in that direction (which I seriously doubt). I love Curry as a 6th man, but I am lukewarm to the idea of him starting because of his defensive deficiencies. Thoughts?
