Grizzlies 2009-2010 Salary Cap Status

Here's my take on the 09/10 Salary Cap situation for the Gizz. Without full access to the NBA books and with no telling what transactions would take place, I had to make a few guesstimates:

Greg Buckner will be moved or optioned for a $1 million cap hit this season.
Hamed Haddadi's salary was figured at the 08/09 amount +8% (same increase as Marc)
I only slotted Hakim at the QO. Who knows what will happen here.
I included all three picks with a slight increase over last years salaries for the same slot.
I noted that JCN's contract cap hold is still held by the Grizz, but did not add it to the cap total.
I'm listing the Salary Cap @ the 08/09 amount of $58.6 million.

Darko Milicic $7,500,000
Marko Jaric $7,100,000
OJ Mayo $4,165,560
Mike Conley $3,883,800
Rudy Gay $3,280,996
Marc Gasol $3,240,000
Hamed Haddadi* $1,697,998
Darrell Arthur $1,050,480
Greg Buckner* $1,000,000
Pick 2 $4,500,000
Pick 27 $1,000,000
Pick 35 $600,000
Warrick (QO) $3,021,838
Salary $42,040,672
JCN Cap Hold

Salary Cap $58,680,000
Cap Space ~"$16,640,000"

With that said - almost $17 million in space, Darko's expiring deal, Buckner's contract, 3 picks this year, 2 picks next year - the Grizz look to be in a really good place. Especially with so many teams facing cap concerns. And for the naysayers that point to Heisley being the end all be all of cheapness, during the Grizz's 3 post season appearances, the Grizz were paying tax dollars.
