Don't let it get to you. These writers always hide behind the "sources" and don't have to be truthful. The fact is if any team wants Rubio they have to go through Memphis to get him. The Chad Ford's of the world won't say that because it's not as interesting a story.
The Grizzlies management has no fear of either the Fords of the world or other Gm's. They have the #2 pick and are in control of their own destiny whether they take Rubio or trade the pick. The story was very telling in that Joventuts president said that they don't know if Rubio could continue playing with them if he sues them.
So now it gets interesting because if he does sue them it means he might have to play in the NBA rather than risk suspension with the Spanish club. So then he loses any leverage to say that he will pull out of the draft and return to his current team. It's the Grizzlies or nothing if they draft him.
All in all we don't have all the details to make an informed opinion, but my judgement tells me Rubio has been getting alot of conflicting advice from agents and advisors and as a young guy him and his family probably are being a little overwhelmed by the sharks looking to make money off his back. I kind of feel sorry for him actually. Imagine if you were 19 and this was happening to you in a time when you should be celebrating your good fortune. I wouldn't know who to trust. If I were him I would stick close to the people he trusts the most and cut out the outsiders like Fegan.

That's a shame, because ATM his only road to the NBA runs through Memphis.

If Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio indeed comes to the America and visits NBA teams before the draft, the Grizzlies expect to be part of the tour.
The 18-year-old's plans are still foreign to Griz general manager Chris Wallace, but several media outlets say Rubio and his family are scheduled to board a flight June 13 bound for the United States.
There are Internet and Spanish reports that contend Rubio would skip Memphis and visit only Los Angeles, Oklahoma City and Sacramento -- teams that own the first, third and fourth picks.
Wallace, though, said Monday afternoon that no one from Rubio's camp has indicated the Spaniard would bypass Memphis -- owners of the No. 2 overall selection.

Like I said, don't buy into any of the media stories since they're trying to sensationalize things and don't have any concrete proof. If anything this whole Rubio mess is a good lesson for all of us in seeing that we should never believe any stories that come out in the press unless you read a direct quote from the horses mouth.
Nothing else matters and until we see Rubio actually open his mouth( I doubt he will and probably has been told to not say anyhting but leave matters to the so called experts to clean the mess up) you shouldn't buy into any of this stuff that will continue right up until the draft, and probably beyond.
