It's time for the Grizzlies to look beyond Ricky Rubio. He might just pull out of the draft until this whole sordid mess is straightened out, which could be in a year or two.
Now let's ask who is willing to trade up to get James Harden?

Really? I think this move all but makes it certain he'll be in the NBA next year. Do you really think either he or the team/organization would look forward to working together next season after these moves (both Rubio starting the arbitration/litigation process and the team assigning the right to payment to the Spanish IRS)?

He's not coming back to DKV, but he is not going to get drafted by any team in the top-4. Stalemate.
Ricky stays in Europe and joins a different club.

I think you've jumped down one too many chimneys Nick. Rubio will be in the NBA next season. The only question is where he'll be playing.

I don“t believe that there will be any European team willing to pay him more than the rookie scale (and he will be drafted between the #2 and the #4)

Snip guy here....If his buyout is not settled by draft day, he will surely slip in draft. Vasquez on one hand was drafted by Orlando...the team is still pissed at him for returning back to his country. No one wants to waste draftpicks...once again as I have been stating all along...go with the next best player and prepare for 2010 free agents.
