Horrible, absolutely horrible news. Steve is one of my favorite Titans to ever take a snap. Such toughness, such heart, and such a great guy. I hated seeing his era as a Titan end so roughly. He never deserved to be treated that way by an organization he gave so much to.

We live in a world of such injustice; a good person gets blasted in the head and his killer roams free. I've been in a similar situation with my family, and all I can say is RIP Steve. My thoughts and prayers go with his family and all that were close to him. This is an extremely sad day for the NFL.

I came home from work when I've heard the news and it's real shocking and horrible to hear. McNair was one of my fav QBs and a fav Titan for his dedication, toughness and smart ability to play football on the field. I hate that he didn't get the opportunity to retire as a Titan. It would've been the best ending to retire with an organizaton that you gave your all to during the majority of your career. The details aren't clear about what set this horrible mess off. I hope McNair's killer gets caught so justice gets serve on behalf of Steve McNair's family. He will be missed by many from his family, his friends, and by his fans.

RIP Steve "Air" McNair

Sad Day. I started to follow the Titans back in the McNair-Eddie George days and he was one of my favorites.

I was in Nashville over the 4th.

Evidently, most people in Nashville were aware of this affair.

Based on stories, he was supposed to file for divorce and marry his girlfriend. However, no divorce papers were ever filed. Seems like he was stringing her along and she went physco.

I was in Paris, TN over the 4th weekend - lots of folks from Nashville there. I got the same vibe from most of the folks that I was talking to as well.
