This article talked about Z-Bo's and The Beast shedding some pounds during the offseason and what steps they took to adhere to the process which involved the Grizz athletic crew laying down certain exercises and developing better diet habits to keep in shape.

Before reading this, I thought I had read that Zbo lost around 20 lbs since the introductory press conference - I guess this confirms it. Very encouraging to say the least.

It really is. Not just to Z-Bo, but to The Beast as well. With these two guys shedding some weight, it will help them in being more fluid and quick as they run up and down the floor. It would be great if these guys can get off to a good start. This team and the city are long overdue for a return to excitement and prominance.

I agree that having Randolph and Gasol changing their body type some and being better conditioned is going to be big. I envision this team being quite uptempo and if you have your two big men able to keep pace with the other three players then it makes everything work so much better. I don't expect either to be leading any breaks but if they can be there as trailers then that's great.

Imagine Iverson and Conley pushing it downcourt with Gay, Randolph, or Gasol there for a feed, and Mayo being on the perimiter for another option.

Just about instant transition offense. If that group show they have the capabilities to running a fluid transition game, it can help their chances in terms of improving their second chance points during the season.
