What are some of yall thoughts on tonight's game against the Wizards with the Grizz on the floor. Despite htme losing by nine, Did this revamp roster look to have some promise to at least give some teams a run for their money when the season begins later this month?

Went to the game and was rooting for the Grizz (even though im a knicks fan). I pretty much knew what to expect from most of the players, and they delivered for the most part. Memphis seemed more interested in seeing what some players had to offer than winning, which is good in the preseason.
The one thing I came away with was, wow Thabeet is just huge lol. Seriously, he struggled getting fouls, but he had 4 nice blocks in limited minutes. After his first 3 blocks, nobody was going inside, he turned the Wizards into a jumpshooting team. At some point JaVale McGee came in and he actually went right at Thabeet, i think Thabeet ended up foulding him twice to stop him from scoring.
Thabeet badly needs to learn how to get position on the offensive and defensive end. He also needs to learn how to use his body to feel where opposing players are. A few times he'd leave his player to defend someone else and the opposing player would pass it back to Thabeets man for an easy dunk.
If he can get a clue as to where to be on the floor and when, and how to get position he is going to be a HUGE game changer for you guys. He didnt put up big stats (although 4 blocks is impressive), but he definetly affected the wizards offensive attack when on the floor, and he altered shots (all things that dont show up on the box scores).

So obviously he's showing the signs that he'll be a defensive force to be reckon with. He will have to get stronger and more imitating to really have an effect in the game from both ends of the floor. Anytime a center of Thabeet's stature can turn a team into a shooting team, especially if they are the struggling type, you done your job.

at last night's OKC game, Thabeet pleasantly surprised me. Now that's not to say he did great, but he exceeded by admittedly-very-low expectations of what he'd be able to do.
Things he needs to work on most? Setting screens, lateral quickness. What did he do better than I thought he might? Good hands, didn't get called for def 3 sec every time down the floor
