Just wanted Memphis fans opinion. Memphis seems to be underachieving even though Gasol and Randolph have been beasting. I think Paul could really take Gay, Gasol,, and Randolph to the next level.
The issue is they probably have to move Mayo and Conely for Paul. So what do you guys think?
Just a FYI Im a Knick fan who watches the Grizzlies for Gasol, Randolph, Gay, and Mayo.
Should Memphis make a run at Chris Paul?

should they? YES
will they? NO
http://hoopshype.com/salaries/memphis.htm
2010: $47,295,900
Chris Paul contact in 2010: $14,940,152
talent wise the trade could go through but we aren't going to spend ANY MORE money. so there is an six million dollar difference in their salaries. keep dreaming

Re: Should Memphis make a run at Chris Paul?
Of course they should make a run at Chris Paul if he is put on the market. Every team in the league would be foolish to not make a run at Paul if he became available. The thing is, New Orleans has no reason to make arguably the best PG in the league available, especially considering how young he is.
If he was on the market, I would be all over a Mayo/Conley/Haddadi/Jaric/2010 Lakers 1st for Paul/Posey/$1.6M trade exception swap.
Or perhaps a Gay/Thabeet/Conley/Haddadi/Hunter/2010 Lakers 1st for Paul/Posey/$3.3M trade exception swap.
I'd prefer the latter to the former, but I'd be elated either if either went down. Still, I can't see any justifiable reason that the Hornets would have to trade CP3.

Sign and trade Rudy Gay, Mike Conley, Hamed Haddadi and the rights to whoever the Grizzlies draft with their two lower first round draft picks.

Hornets probably demand something like Mayo+Gasol+Randolph+Hunter+some draft picks x Paul+Okafor+Peterson.
