Why are the wolves so high on Gay?

We're in desperate need for a scorer on the wing. You'll understand if you watch the game.

The one thing that Gay does well is score from the wing. That's always been his strength. But you have to live with his less than stellar defense and overall basketball IQ in terms of how work the team system and know when to push things and when to play it smart.

Maybe with experience he'll get it but he's not a raw rookie anymore even though his offensive game has gone up a level this season. But it's my belief that he's doing what a number of players do, which is push his individual game more in a contract year.

I have a hard time believing Gay to the Wolves will happen. They will need more than just him to turn the franchise around. When you really think about. They lack a better main go-to guy on that team for FA to be attracted to the team that says potential to rebound from the abyss.

As for the game itself. Hopefully we'll have Gay back in the lineup. They have to play better as a team. Boxing out, rebounding, make good shots and be aggressive in order to win the game.

Since we're on the topic, just wondering if Grizz fans could enlighten me. How much is the most Gay'd be paid Gay since I though he rejected a 10 million per year for like 4-5 years.

How much would we the fans pay or how much would the owner pay? That's two different things and personally since I haven't spoken to Heisley in a while :D I can't answer that one.

Hoping you know about the offer he rejected. I remember reading what it supposedly was, but I can't find it now.

I didn't see the game tonight but it looks like Sam Young had another good game off the bench. Does anyone know if that was mainly at shooting guard? I really wonder how Young and Mayo would do together as the starting backcourt?

YOUNG is doing well from the bench, keep it that way so we can have some firepower in the bench. he is getting his 25mpg anyway.

btw, great win. grizzs kept in the game in the 4th. if our bench were stronger we could say it is starting to look like an nba team.

Young was explosive and unstoppable going to the rim. And he got freethrows. I didn't see him shooting jumpshots really. How would Mayo and Young do starting back court? Well it could be terrible because neither plays point guard. I don't know how that would work.

I nearly died laughing that one possession where they kept feeding it to BIG AL in the post against Thabeet. It was the entire offense. "pass to AL", kickback, "pass to AL". Then he did get the shot and made it. But aside from that their offense was simply useless. Gomes was ok but not on fire or anything. I can see Rudy Gay and Kevin Love on that team (before the injury) they could be really good. Now they are bad. But surprised how well Wilkins looked. He has confidence at least.
