should the gasol brothers be together

Gasol is having a career year and arguably will oneday be as good as Pau if not better. Based on his age and upside, of Marc, would you trade everyone else for Pau just to see how great the tandem could be together, discuss?

We can see how great they can be together in the Spain NT. Gasol 1.0 will never return to Memphis.

I have no real interest in having Pau back with the Grizz. I was and remain a fan of his, but it's apparent that his skill set is limited to being one of, if not THE, best second option in the NBA. Had the Grizz lucked out and scored LeBron - oh what could have been. Pau fully demonstrated in Memphis that he just doesn't have what it takes to be the Alpha dog on a team - at least an NBA squad. He can't be the max money guy, if the team can only afford one - as is the case in Memphis.

Marc, on the other hand, is a warrior. He's already more beloved in Memphis than Pau ever was. Part of this is his style of play, part is the fact that he played high school ball in Memphis and partly because Pau blazed a trail for him. I also don't believe that Marc's going to be a max money player. He'll definitely get a huge pay raise for his next deal, but not max.

Really? gasol 2.0 is a warrior and we know he is going to be better than pau (probably) but already more beloved? do not forget Pau is the best grizz ever (so far).

Anyway, if pau were to rejoin the grizzs he wouldnt be the 1st option, in his days as a grizz he had a heavy scoring load. now he wouldnt, not to mention OJ might be a new kind of kobe.

Absolutely. Keep in mind that Marc came to Memphis at the same time as Pau. He's, in an odd way, almost taken as a local due to his high school roots at Lausanne. Pau has been to date the most talent Grizz ever, by far. However, his demeanor on the court did not endear him to Memphis basketball fans. There's only so much "checking for blood" on every call that he didn't get that folks can take.

Just my 2 cents. Man - wish I could have gone to the game tonight - but too much going on with Christmas almost here!

Yep man, i forgot bout gasol2.0 going to highschool there. Anyway, those 7 years of Pau... i still like him a lot. he drove us 3 times in a row to playoffs. he was our leader tho he couldnt do it well or he didnt like to lead. but he was our allstar. that jasonwilliams-pau connection was amazing. He dunked in almost every star face in the pyramid. i think no grizz did it before. that checks for blood came in the last years, with that playof run 0-12 people started to point fingers at him, do not forget we lost with spurs, mavs and suns at their best. A couple of years more in grizzland for marc and then he might be more beloved at least for me.

PD: Does it note that Pau was my fav player? :lol:

What do you mean "trade everyone else"? Rudy, OJ, Zbo, and Conley? That's an easy "no"

the only way for them to be together is for Lakers to get Marc from us.

but they don't have anything we'd want.
