What a way to start Brewer's carreer as a Grizzlie. I've seen hamstring injuries and that 3 weeks estimate is very unlikely. It's going to be more like double that and I would say we're looking at the end of March.
So much for the help for a playoff push. It's status quo and the starters better suck it up, get needed rest wherever they can, and Memphis better hope Mayo and Gay can handle the heavy minutes.
Having Arthur back is going to be good, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Conley can do what he did last year in the final quarter of the season, and Sam Young doesn't hit some sort of rookie wall. Lionel Hollins should identify every second of garbage time, or non critical minutes and let Thabeet and Haddadi foul away to give Gasol some rest so he doesn't have to worry about foul trouble or conerving his energy.
It's a stretch, and one I don't think they can overcome, but it will take the starting five giving 100% all the time if they want to have any sort of shot at the playoffs.
