Gay for Horford?

Post#1 » by jmr07019 » Sat May 22, 2010 2:37 pm

As a Memphis fan would you trade Gay for Horford?

No rumor. Just a Boston fan wondering what type of return you guys are looking for. I was actually thinking of a larger trade where Perkins and our first goes to ATL and Gay to Boston. However I'm curious on your input from the perspective of the Griz and not the trade overall. Thanks.

It would have to be part of a S&T deal and I'd have no idea how the numbers would work. Value wise, it's about as good as the Grizz could hope to get back I'm guessing.

No.... because the Grizzlies have another center that is just as effective and more valuable in Marc Gasol. Right now, the Grizz need to upgrade their bench..... add scoring and experience and that will put them in the playoffs... (Assuming they can keep Gay).

Horford is a PF, not a center. Atlanta is just using him out of position. As much as I want Rudy back, I'd do it and then our post game would be set for a long time.

GGF. Rudy would be a BYC so it could probably be a straight-up trade.

I think Horford is the only untouchable on our team.

Same here. That just emphasizes why I'd have no problem with the deal straight up. If only we could have ended up back then like the Nets this year. :(

The chances of Al Horford being traded to anybody is slim and none. You just don't give up a great young asset like that. Look at how many Bulls fans are willing to include Noah in a Chris Bosh sign and trade. Pretty much none. So Al Horford for Rudy Gay is a non starter.

That's an atrocious deal for the Pacers.

Randolph is a drug addict headed for prison, Conley is an enormous bust whose value is that of a second rounder.

The Pacers literally give up the three most valuable assets in the entire deal.

Just hideous from Indy's perspective.

if Wade is the best player then where are his MVP trophies? he might have been best player in the Olympics Beijing and in the 2006 Finals but I never heard anyone even debate if he's better than Kobe. Only Lebron.

So why do you post a video of Gay and then say that? We don't even agree with Gay is the best Grizzlies player let alone the entire NBA.

Perkins for Horford would be a huge down grade for the Hawks, especially at the center position
