Who would you rather have replace Conley this year at point guard, Vasquez or Mayo?

Neither of those guys are better pg's than Conley, so neither.

We don't know that just yet. Conley has sucked the last two seasons aside from a handful of games toward the end of each season. The Grizzlies can't keep waiting until after the all-star break for their starting pg to look like he belongs in the NBA.

I'm hoping that Mayo will eventually emerge as the starting pg. They should have made him the pg his rookie year.

Right now I'd like to Conley continue to start. But I think Vasquez is gonna be the next Steve Nash but bigger. I hope that Xavier Henry will be just as good or better than Mayo so he can replace him at the 2 spot since he's 6'6" compared to Mayo's 6'4". Someone is gonna be trading from this group eventually and I predict it will be Mayo. You can Move Conley to the bench but you can't move mayo to the bench.

Greivis Vasquez beat out Evan Turner, John Wall and others for the Cousy Award and best point guard in the nation. The same award won by players like Steve Nash and Jason Kidd, both whom was said Not to be athletic and didn't have lateral quickness. So yeah I'm gonna bet he's that good.

The Cousy Award is like 5 years old and includes greats like D.J. Augustin, Acie Law, Raymond Felton and Dee Brown.

This guy is has almost lost it, Vasquez the next Steve Nash, Xavier Henry better than OJ Mayo.

Lord, help this poor soul, please.

OJ is on a different level than Henry and its not even close.
and Mayo should be he pg over Conely and Vasquez and he will prove it in summer league next week.
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.

I'm not as concerned with either of these guys "beating out" Conley as I am excited to see the back court of GV and OJ on the floor. I think that ultimately they could become the option A back court without either having to be "better" than Conley in and of their own.

No. Not close. Vasquez is big but not very quick/fast. He has skills but can overreach his abilities. He can do very well in some matchups and badly in others and so his outlook is BACKUP....not All Star.

As backup PG? If Mayo had any point guard skills, I'd go with Mayo. Hopefully he's a lot better playing point than what he showed in summer league because we're still pretty thin at point.

Also  at the people saying OJ is a better point guard than Conley.
