2nd Annual Haddadi Hoops Camp L.A. Oct 23-24

Post#1 » by DtroitBBall8904 » Wed Oct 6, 2010 6:20 am

I follow the Grizzlies board every so often and wanted to post some info about this camp. I know most of you probably dont live in LA but if you do or know anyone that would be interested, pass on the good word. I am involved in the camp this year, its for a really good cause and it is a really good opportunity for kids to get some camp experience, meet a couple of NBA players, and mainly to learn and have fun - without costing their parents an arm and a leg.

IT IS OPEN TO KIDS FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS :D

Im sorry you guys, the government of Iran is lawless. They will do what they please without regards to the rules and just to cause a stir. They are unhappy that Hamed is playing in the US, so they will do what ever it takes. I hope he makes it here as early as possible. Im in Florida and cant follow much of Grizzlies, how is he doing for you guys. Are you happy with Hamed and what more can he do.

The camp is missing its namesake.

camp was postponed until the all star break... at least Hamed got here, and too bad the grizz drafted thabeet at no. 2 because you guys are stuck with him one more year and Hamed is stuck behind him :/

Agreed. Even without Thabeet, I'm not sure Hamed is the right fit for the Grizz. He has legit NBA level skills - likely only as a backup, but he's skilled. Additionally, seems to be a GREAT guy. Fan favorite and very pleasant to run into around town. Genuinely nice guy. Seems to be a guy that "gets" it - no entitlement to him at all. Very at ease and humble. I'm rooting for his success, whether it be here or somewhere else down the line.

I generally agree. I hope we continually give this guy a roster spot and a chance. It is a big adjustment- the NBA style that is.
