Tough game for us, but I think we will pull ahead. Of course, you never know what to expect from these Grizzlies.

GRIZZ! Pacers look like they are on vacation like all the teams yesterday. (some of the worst basketball I've seen on Christmas which is emabarssing)...

My wife says it looks like Memphis in Conseco field house ---- no one is wearing jerseys. No home town support. Is it just becauce the Pacers have been bad? I thought they were big basketball fans in Indiana - right? Pretty sparse tonight. Detroit Pistons Bulls game had more support.

Grizz look above avg against teams like this.... but then they get blown out by the Rockets? WTF!

1. Marc Gasol is starting to pick it up offensively, he's learning to dunk the ball again which is good since he only had 5 in the entire season.

2. Xavier Henry shouldn't be starting at all, play someone else please whether it be Young, Mayo or Allen, he's probably the worst sg on the roster.

3. Rudy Gay's offensive game has kind of reverted back to his old iso jumper chucking ways but he's starting to bring it consistently on the defensive end.

4. Thabeet has been pretty decent for the last 5 games or so and they should at least try to throw 2-3 oops to him a game, don't know why but he's pretty sure handed on those attempts

Pacers fans are not the most motivated ones out there because of three straight years of garbage and two prior years of getting gutted by the Brawl.

As for the game, we shot terribly, and had inefficient offense for the whole game. It was an ugly drawn-out game from my perspective (so many fouls called and we shot 35%, while still holding you to 44%).

I think Indiana's lack of fan support had something to do with the difference between city and country basketball. Most of the diehard fans of basketball must live in the country. Additionally, most of those die hard fans probably pay more attention to IU basketball than the pros.

They, like everyone else, go to see good teams play. IU has a great program, and the Colts have been solid. The fact that we have the small market that we do and we are almost dead-even with you guys (~700 tickets or so difference) and we have better attendance percentage than the Sixers, Hawks, Nets, and Pistons. All of those teams have been more successful to varying degrees than we have in the past 5 years.

As for the difference between city and country, I don't think that's an issue. I would say that a lot of it has to do with the economy hitting different cities in different ways. I don't live there but I think Indy has had a little bit more trouble recovering.

Looks like Gay reverted back to his old, more efficient self. Good to see. And, heck of a dunk for Rudy in this one!

We are always going to struggle when our bench comes in the game.....we are going to have to just live with this unless we can make some serious trades.
