I saw a quote where one NBA executive said Tony Allen is one of the few people in the NBA he would recommend not to F$%K with. That's kind of interesting. I wonder if he is just a scrapper or has some boxing training. I can tell you the one guy I wouldn't mess with in the NBA is DJ Mbenga. Not only is he 7' tall but he's also a black belt in judo. I study judo and I can tell you that you would not want a 7 footer throwing you onto the ground. I also heard Steve Blake, of all people, trains MMA. Neither here nor there but I didn't know Allen was such a bad a$$.

I think that comment had more to do with this:

I had also heard that James Johnson of the Bulls is an MMA champion from the state he grew up in.
As you stated being either hit or thrown by a larger person is not something I would want. That is why I joined track in high school.....LOL!
